Hotel Gute Hoffnung Pforzheim

The staff was really nice and engaged! The shower was good. It was very clean.

No reception was really not a nice expereince. No mini bar, no water, not even a glass. Everything around was closed. You can hear a lot from the other rooms.

Great location for the centre of town, perfect for a short stay in Pforzheim. We also liked the three bed room, perfect for staying with a toddler. I'm very glad we chose this hotel and would recommend it!

There's no lift, but it wasn't too far to our room on the first floor.

Very nice and attentive staff, secure parking is a plus, good breakfast, very quiet, comfy beds –– all good.

If there's anything to criticise it would be the lighting and style in the rooms that feels a bit cold.

Could not get in

We arrived at the hotel at 9PM and tried to check in using the automatic machine, however no card dropped out. Despite the fact they advertise you can contact them 24hr/day by phone, we tried several times, but only heard the phone ring in the (closed) lobby next door. We ended up booking another hotel around the corner and were refunded by booking.com

The lady on reception was very helpful and friendly..rooms are warm and quiet

I was told on arrival that breakfast WAS NOT included. I am almost 100% certain that breakfast was included in the booking BUT it is impossible to see this on the Booking.Com confirmation. The receptionist was quite definite that it was not included .... I decided not to take breakfast in the hotel but it was an unpleasant start to the stay.

- The room was spotless, especially the bathroom. We thought the bathroom was renovated and we were the first ones to use it, but on the second night, we realized that it was just that their cleaning skills were on point. We could not find a single sign that we used the shower the night before.- The room was fully equipped and big enough for two people.- The location was nice with restaurants, bakeries, and bus stops around.

- On the first night, we did hear some food steps, but it was overall very quiet. But the next night after midnight, someone on our floor stomped in, slammed the door like five or six times (no idea why), started playing loud music, and kept stomping around for like a couple of hours. I would not say it is the hotel's fault. It was definitely about that insensitive drunk guest, but it would have been nice if there were earplugs or if the hotel had ways to deal with such a loud drunk guest.

Excellent location in the centre of town. Restaurants 50yds away. Secure locked garage for €8/night next to Hotel.
