    Pros +

    • Fancy reception and big rooms
    • Good location with easy parking
    • Great location, easy to find & easy to park free outside.

    Cons -

    • A little bit old and outdated furnishings
    • The breakfast was disappointing. It looked really nice, but... The eggs and sausages were cold, the pancakes were dried out and the yoghurt tasted like it was 3 days old. For 16Euro pp, I would expect much more.
    • Room was outdated, as well as breakfast was well below standards for a "Mercure" hotel. We had much higher expectations when we booked this hotel.

Room wasn't clean, there was lots of dog hair on the carpet and on the chairs.Unfortunately we couldn't get another room for 3 people nor even get it cleaned up.Desk was helpful but we were given another room for 2 (clean this time) but one of us had to spend the night in that dirty room.

    - Great location next to the highway- Comfortable mattress and bedding- Balcony

    - Old rooms- Electric sockets away from bed- Carpeting looked old or dirty, not sure which one- Filtered to have a hotel with parking. It has public parking in the street and no guarantees if there are any available. If you want to park underground, it's 10 euros per car per night. I think it should be clearly stated in hotel info. Booking.com's filters are failing with such cases.- Limited variety in breakfast.-Bathroom was clean but was old.

Wouldn’t stay again.stayed for a nights rest after driving from Austria wish we had kept driving

Worst nights sleep in a hotel. All we could hear all night were motorbikes and cars revving engines. Shower was hopeless and broken

    6AndrewPosted on: 4-5-2025

Convenient location for the motorway. We used it as an overnight stop enroute to Austria. Very warm rooms with no ac or fan. Window opened onto main road with police / ambulances and a petrol station.Good breakfast, friendly staff.

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Friendly welcome and excellent extensive breakfast with a bird’s eye view of the surrounding area. Easy access from the Autobahn network.

The hotel is dated. Could do with some TLC.

Staff were so helpful- they found us a dog friendly traditional German restaurant and booked us a taxi

Very friendly staff.Very helpful, got an upgrade and when I told them about a problem I have they offered me a new room.

The water pressure on the 4th floor is bad. Also, the hot water will take time. To be fair this is the first time that happens to me. In the last 4 months, I stayed here over 6 times, and never had this issue. The water pressure is low in 3rd as well. But not as bad as this time. I informed the hotel. They even offered me a new room.

Great overnight stay as very close to A8. A 20 minute walk found Palm Beach pub and restaurant.

The location was good, particularly for driving from Austria to the UK. You can just about get there after a days skiing. The beds were comfy. And the shower was warm. We had breakfast in the morning €16 per adult, kids free. The breakfast was basic, but ok. The place was a bit too busy.

When we arrived we were given two keys that were near each other (parents+2 kids travelling). I opened the door to one of the rooms to be met by a small child in their underwear, and a half-naked family watching TV. I hurriedly left, the father from the room then ran out and confronted me (also in his underwear) as to why I'd entered their room. I explained I'd been given the key - he walked away a bit annoyed saying that they were staying there. I went to reception expecting a long apology, but he just said it was 'free on the system' and blamed the computer. I said in that case - shouldn't he investigate why there was a half-naked family in the room, he mumbled something about sending someone up there later to check. I was a bit annoyed as it wasn't the response I was looking for. He eventually (and quite reluctantly) offered me a free beer for my trouble - which was the last thing I wanted after a long drive when I just wanted some sleep and two rooms near each other, so I refused it. After that, he gave me a new room which was quite a long way away from the other room. The rooms were basic, but clean. I think if I didn't have the half-naked family experience, and/or the hotel had been more apologetic about it it could have been an acceptable stay. As it was, it was ruined by the check in experience.Parking was €10 - it wasn't clear that it was charged as an extra before booking. It would be good to make that clearer.

Location as a stopover from motorway.

A lot of the breakfast foods were running out and the breakfast was understaffed.

Location is great. Good Italian restaurant nect door.

Weak wifi. Unfortunately both elevators were out of order in the morning. Can happen but walking down 3 floors with heavy luggage wasn't fun.

Noise from fuel station next door

    Rooms need a major redo

Dirty room, hair in shower, water temp shower was bad, curtains were broken, bed light did not work. No light switch by the bed

    6DaphnePosted on: 1-29-2025

Easy to reach the hotel, lobby looked nice and chique, with some jazzmusic playing. Shower had good waterpressure and consistent temperature.

The room looked quite old, no overhead lights were present, only very white light bulbs. No plug at the bedside table. Getting into the shower was not the best, as the entrance door couldn't open too far or else you smashed the glass into the corner of the sink.

    Nice. Value for money

Lift broken. Noisy with gas station behind hotel
