Pros +
- Spaciaus rooms, very clean, comfortable beds, room does not get hot during the day (july, august +30 and above outside) no critical need for AC. Away from road, quiet.
- The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The location and view was great.
- The hotel is set in an olive grove and the entrance is resplendent with bougainvillea. The pool was a great option when one wanted to cool off instead of going to the beach. Breakfast was tasty, filling, and nutritious. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Hotel Marina Village was excellent value for money and I would highly recommend it to others. Palaikastro is an unspoiled part of Greece that I would definitely like to visit again.
Cons -
- It's not really a complaint but the breakfast was relatively simple.
- Not much
- Rooms were small (but how long do you spend in your room?), and dated, but as previously indicated, good quality.

The host, he was absolutely lovely into the details, very caring and helpful in regard to the road to take and we went to Voila village an old village up to the hill. A beauty, I can recommended - thank you, ??
Not much
Good quality furnishings, excellent design with lots of shady corners.. Delightful pool and isolated setting create a peace and harmony amidst the olive groves. Really friendly, helpful and unintrusive staff. Great beaches close by, but also worth travelling a little (Kato Zakros was simply amazing). Palekastro town is lovely, Old Crete with an identity not defined by tourism. Seek out Maria at the Wellness/Massage clinic too.

Good location, friendly staff and great breakfast. Didn’t use the pool.
Walls are paper thin so heard everything in apartments around us especially the lady upstairs who was extremely noisy. Crazy paved paths hard to walk on for a disabled person.
Beautiful garden & pool, quiet surroundings & excellent position to explore the area. Super friendly family that make you feel at home and are happy to give suggestions. Comfortable room with balcony. Great value.
We liked everything
The location is perfect. Super quiet and peaceful but also close enough to beaches and palaikastro. We didn’t have a car but we could still go in many places and hike to Vai
Internet was not working well
Really close to Vai beach. The host is really kind, he waited for us to check in even if our flight was late.
The breakfast is very well served, there is a tennis field, the decoration is super beautiful everywhere, is like a piece of paradise, a little oasis in the middle of the olive trees
To make the checkout, I wish I could stay there forever
excellent service at breakfast, helpful reception and bar serviice round pool
Location in the middle of olive trees.
I am use to having a small kettle in the room/apartment. Here, it was not there.Bathroom is tiny, therefore flooded after every shower.
Perfect location with lots of olive trees around. 1 min from the beach with the car. Perfect for families and for relaxing.
The room is comfortable. Breakfast is good.
The shower is small and has a curtain. This may cause a flud. We don't like curtains in showers...
Isolation but reasonably close to a small town with many good restaurants.
Right for us
The staff were very helpful. The amenities more than what I needed. A quiet location far from the crowds, which I like. Breakfast was good.
Took me sometime to find the location being outside the local town. They did not serve meals in the evening.
The right place for rest and recreation. Beautiful garden, olive trees. Everyone was friendly. Breakfast was good.
The staff is very friendly and kind. Willing to help you and give you suggestions about the area. The room was clean and has a good size. Also, the breakfast was nice.
The road to arrive is not good and dusty.
Location and excellent pool.
Breakfast never varied.
The breakfast was very good. The coffee could have been stronger for my taste, but overall we were very satisfied. The pool was nice, the right size. The cicadas gave a summery concert. I liked to read and relax by the pool. The flowers around the property were beautiful: plumeria and oleander.
Just the coffee could have been stronger.
