The hotel was undergoing refurbishment in the restaurant and bar, however this didn't spoil my stay, breakfast was prepared for me in my room.

The location

Was old, needs refurbishing. No airco. Very small room.

We ordered rooms without breakfast, but when we informed the staff that my daughter has celiac they immediately sent a list of restaurants where we could get glutenfree breakfast in the area.When we arrived their boiler had broken down so there was no hot water in the rooms. To compensate they gave us free breakfast AND went to the supermarket to get glutenfree bread & cereal. Great service !

Hotel located within Thionville city centre, just opposite the river making it a very nice location for sighseeing and enjoying a morning walk.There's plenty of public parking around the hotel, that even without hotel specific parking it was easy to find a spot.The staff spoke multiple languages making it for an easy check in and outThe room was quiet, warm and of a decent size.We travelled with dog and there was no problem with him staying in the hotel.Two types of pillows were provided, softer and firmer, to choose for ones comfort.

The hotel was older than what I was expecting out of the pictures.The elevator is tiny and me, my partner and our dog couldn't travel together in one go.There was no coffee or tea making facilities in the room nor a fridge.

Location

The chairs in the room are meant for dwarfs or kids. Not possible to close toilet room and shower room, some strange wardrobe door like solution.

Very clean and well located. Very clear indications to get to the accommodation. Easily to find. Easy and quick contact with the owner.Nicely decorated. Very comfortable beds. Washing machine on site is a plus.

Just not easy to get the suitcases on the last floor ;).Some chairs and hooks are missing for having a dinner/breakfast with enough space and the towels to dry, especially when you're more than 4. The kitchen is enough for a quick and simple breakfast.Wifi wasn't working. And maybe mention in the description if whether or not soap is available on site.Cleaning dishes was not easy.

The flexibility of the night manager when we arrived (after serious travel problems) tired and hungry at nearly 2am was noteworthy, making it possible for us to have a "night breakfast" before going to bed. The hotel is only a short walk from the centre of Thionville with a small park in front that cuts traffic noise to negligeable levels.

The hotel is a longer walk from the railway station (about 10 minutes) than I had imagined from the description. However, it is a very pleasant walk that includes a modern pedestrian bridge over the Moselle River. In our room there was a drain smell of the kind you often encountered in French hotels 50 years ago that made overnight airing advisable.
