Pros +
- Location, nice small hotel, very friendly staff.
- Location and staff. Very close to the port and the boats for Maltezi beach. Ioanna, the owner, was the absolute highlight, embodying the true sense of Greek hospitality: always with a smile offering all the tips and services a first-time visitor needs to enjoy the island to the fullest: where to go swimming and how to get there with public transport, when the best time is to visit the monastery, where to eat or buy local products, to name a few. And going the extra mile every single time: finding the best possible way for me to enjoy my last swim worry-free <3, helping me with my luggage, using her network to respond to my every request, introducing me to Maria, the sweet cantine-owner of Maltezi beach with the big heart and the amazing sense of humor! <3In a nutshel, it felt like staying with family and friends.I fell in love with Amorgos and its people. Thank you for making my short vacation an unforgetable one! And looking forward to visiting with you again and again...
- Location is great. Very helpful staf and the owner. Very clean rooms.
Cons -
- Nothing to complain about, really. Maybe adding insect screens to the rest of the windows of the ground-floor room I stayed in (bathroom already has one) would allow one to keep the windows open at night to enjoy the breeze rather than use the A/C.
- The room was slightly overlooked as our window opened onto another room's balcony and the WiFi was weak and didn't always work. These issues were not a real problem for us and we enjoyed our stay very much!
- Buffet breakfast is very meagre

Fantastic location from which to explore Amorgos. Very friendly host and the room suited us well!. Great value! We arrived on 26th July and there was a local festival outside the hotel to celebrate all night long. We joined in and enjoyed the music and Raki.
The room was slightly overlooked as our window opened onto another room's balcony and the WiFi was weak and didn't always work. These issues were not a real problem for us and we enjoyed our stay very much!
Everyting, but especially the hosts, i have rarely seen so many smiles and helpful people. The location is perfect and Amorgos is a paradise. :)
Great location and helpful owners
Buffet breakfast is very meagre
Solo traveler here. I was doing some writing on Amorgos and I had a wonderful time at the Hotel Minoa. The hotel staff were all really friendly and genuine. Full of character and the restaurant next door was brilliant too. One of the most memorable hotels I’ve stayed in Greece (I’ve stayed in a lot)
Nothing. It was fantastic
Great location; 5 tavernas all within a hundred feet, ferry arrived 200 feet away and caiques to take you across the bay to a fantastic clean quiet beach. We had a balcony facing the garden, completely private, with choruses of doves to great you each morning.Great continental breakfast and the sweet shop within would make custom omelets and expresso for heading out to a hard day at the beach, or with car visiting the south end of Amorgos, world away from the north end centered on Aegiali. You should visit both ends of Amorgos.
If you bring a child, the third bed is very hard. For us the room wes perfect.
Great location, very friendly staff, good breakfast and cafe on site.
A/c blowing onto bed

Nice and cosy hotel at Katapola port. The owner Ioanna was super friendly and she gave us nice recommendations. We suppose to stay for a week and we extended for one more. Thanks for the amazing hospitality!
Everything. Our room was fabulous, and the bathrooms have recently been renovated so that was a lovely surprise. The lady running the hotel speaks excellent French and English and treats you like family, she even sat down with us on the first day with a big map and explained all the best spots. The breakfast is delicious with lots of food from their garden and homemade cakes. The location is perfect with a huge free car park nearby if you rent a car and great restaurants at the foot of the door. When we come back we will 100 percent stay here again, thank you Joanna!
Nothing, it was all perfect!
The hotel owner Ioanna made a warm wellcome to us.The towels change daily. The breakfast that is served at reception area is enough and has homemade sweets. Also reception area shares same place with Pothy’s sweet that has wonderfull sweets especially Portakolapita. The hotel is in a good location near port. There is public parking area near the hotel. With Ioanna’s advices you can organize your holiday in Amorgos easily. If you want to do peacefull and relaxing holiday, then Minoa hotel must be your first choice..
The lady who was so nice - explained to us about the island, the beaches, the walking trails. The location, the room - just on the sea, fantastic view. It felt like home.
Amorgos is an amazing island to enjoy the nature and serenity. To enjoy and explore this island this hotel is in relaxed and vivid location. It’s just by the harbor. It’s close the ferries and bus stop to visit other villages on island. The host and her family are extremely helpful with pleasure. Ioanna just gave me all the information and advices I needed, she has great hospitality with a sincere smile. The rooms, the breakfast, the facility, the staff are extremely nice and it was a pleasure to stay there and meet them. I would stay there again and again.
Friendly and welcoming, location 1 minute from the ferry drop off, beautiful view sitting in front of the hotel drinking coffee or juice. Most of all the staff were happy, always a good sign. They could not have been more helpful, lovely and open, this does not happen by accident, it's well-managed.The WiFi in the room was flaky, in front of the hotel eating one of the delightful pastries it was excellent however.I felt like one of the family, I would certainly stay here again.
WiFi in the room was poor, compensated for by it being fine on going downstairs and sitting watching the sea.
Check in was very easy and welcoming and the room was very nice, the view from the balcony of the port was amazing, highly recommended!
Everything. perfect location in a perfect setting. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and the room we had had a beautiful view across the bay. Katapola is a dream place that we intend to visit again and will definitely stop at Hotel Minoa.
absolutely nothing
The room was huge and the location was exceptional. The owner is very friendly.
Charming hosts. Family-run. About 100m from the ferry. Room had excellent view of Seafront. Also a nice coffee stop.
