Windy days when the ocean was too rough to swim.
Breakfast could be better had to queue up for fresh cooked if there had been another tray with heated eggs it would have been better. View Fantastic, Pool Fantastic. Overall First Class Hotel.
Breakfast could be better had to queue up for fresh cooked if there had been another tray with heated eggs it would have been better.
The resort is situated towards the west and our room had beautiful sunset vistas. The breakfast was a huge spread with fresh exotic fruits and local delectables, that changed daily. The pool was beautiful. The bartender at the main restaurant made excellent appletinis. The staff was very attentive and we were able to request rides up and down the property's hill at a moment's notice. We extended our stay several days because we liked it so much. It was a beautiful and relaxing way to end our Greece vacation!
As with any Greek island, expect a lot of stairs. Everything else was excellent. Note that checkout time is very strict. The elevator was broken once during our 6 day stay, necessitating my wife, who is on crutches, take the long elegant marble staircase to the lobby. At the time of our checkout it was broken again, and we were told about the service elevator, rather than wait in the room.
Property:The entire property is exceptional- even the outdoor areas have a lovely scent that I’ll miss. The views are absolutely stunning from the rooms, restaurants, and the pool.Food:Room service was excellent, offering healthy, seed-oil-free options with great quality. Breakfast at Kalimera Restaurant was also a highlight. I recommend going early in the morning to grab one of the outdoor tables with a breathtaking sea view, the BEST place for enjoying your morning coffee.Room:If your budget allows, definitely opt for a sea-view room. You’ll likely want to spend a good amount of time relaxing in your room, and the view makes it well worth it. I saw the garden-view rooms-they mostly face a few trees and don't offer much of a view.Staff:The staff were generally friendly and helpful. A special mention to the guest manager who welcomed us-very professional and genuinely kind.Beach:The Aegean Sea is truly something special. While the water is a bit cool in September, it’s still very enjoyable. Beachside service is available, so you can order drinks right to your sunbed.Shuttle:The complimentary shuttle to downtown is a great perk. Just be sure to book your spot early in the day for evening trips, as walk-ins aren’t accepted. Note that shuttle service to the airport or port is not free; only the downtown rides are complimentary. Be prepared for a short walk to and from the shuttle pickup/drop-off point. All drivers were very friendly.
Ants:There were quite a few small ants in the room, especially in the bathroom area. While they didn’t actively bother us, it was stressful trying to avoid stepping on them. The hotel kindly changed our room, but unfortunately, the issue persisted in the new one as well, and no further solution was offered.Symposium Restaurant:My wife and had dined at the Symposium once. The ambiance was nice, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. The sea bass we ordered was disappointing, and we even found a hair in the dish, which we had to send back. Additionally, our server seemed overwhelmed and, when we asked for a quick picture, she declined and said she was too busy- something that came off as rather rude. Overall, I’d suggest dining at Ilios instead; our experience there was much better.-Sunbeds fill up quickly—after 11 AM, it’s difficult to find an available one, so be sure to go early if you want a good spot.-Smoking is allowed on the beach, which can be unpleasant for non-smokers, especially since the sunbeds are placed quite close to each other. I really wish there were a designated non-smoking area at the beach.
The hotel is located on the peninsula of the Myconos island. This location offer some sense of isolation and even seclusion and that was the exactly what we seeked for when were planning our one week holiday. The layout of the hotel, wonderful views, attention of hotel's staff, cleaness of room and many other aspects of the service are simply perfect. It was one of the best holiday experiences we have had for many years when we are abroad
LOVED this property! Room was gorgeous and the staff was so delightful.
All pool loungers had towels on them with no occupants very early in the morning. That always makes me crazy - it is so rude
The hotel facilities are clean, well maintained and designed with beautiful aesthetics.Access to the different parts of the hotel takes some long walking in steep pathways but it’s not that terrible.
The reception staff were unwelcoming and had a terrible attitude. Had to call 6 times and wait two days just to get a working coffee machine instead of a broken one.Lunch and dinner were VERY disappointing and not worth the high price! At the same cost you can get a much better, high-end dinning at one of the many restaurants around the island, including drinks.Pools, both private and public, are not heated. That’s a huge minus when the winds are blowing.
The location is everything, the rooms were amazing and they have a lot to do. The staff was amazing the day and night shift . A Big thank you to Managers and Anastasia for taking good care of our family + all the people working in all the restaurants all over the hotel and a big thank you to the Gulf drivers.
I truly enjoyed my stay at Saint John Resort! The location is perfect, offering breathtaking views and a relaxing atmosphere. The entire resort feels elegant and well-kept, with highlights like the infinity pool and those unforgettable sunsets that make every evening magical. The breakfast selection in the morning is very good and tasty, with plenty of options to enjoy, and the staff stand out for being genuinely caring and friendly, always making you feel welcomed. One special touch that really moved me was the beautiful little church inside the resort — such a peaceful and lovely addition.Overall, it’s a place where luxury, comfort, and warmth come together perfe
The only area for improvement would be the attention to detail from housekeeping. It would be nice if toilet paper was replenished daily without the need to call, and if they noticed our preference for regular coffee instead of decaf, adjusting accordingly. These are just small touches, but improving them would make the stay even better. Despite these little details, my stay was fantastic and I would happily return!
The view was superb, the location is nice , it has its own beach. It’s windy most of the days specially in the morning but this is the case all over Mykonos
Awesome view and location
Pool without water temperature management. In an island where the sea is really cold, not having a warm pool is a real lack of attention by a five star hotel. The room was not properly equipped and the service not well trained (twice the personal entered the room with the dnd on….unacceptable)
Amazing room, amazing facility, breakfast, pool, and staff. Can't find the words to describe how it was a super hotel! Loved it from the moment I landed until I left....
Nothing there which you dont like ;-) Alll GOOOOOOOD !
Amazing location, beautiful view and friendly, attentive and helpful staff. The hotel is clean, the buffet breakfast is great. We stayed in a 2 bedroom garden view room with pool and it was perfect for our family of four. Also tried the spa and had a very relaxing massage. Would recommend this hotel if you want a more up market ?experience in Mykonos.
A decent amount of stairs to get to/from rooms, and facilities but you can always ask to use the buggy. There are also a couple of lifts.
We loved the location, beach, rooms, services and the staff we loved the breakfast buffet!
I had a fantastic stay! The view was fantastic and better than expected. I had a "partial view" with a balcony and was able to watch the sunset over the water form my room. The pool was incredible, paired with poolside service and fantastic cocktails. The restaurant food was rather expensive, yet reflected high quality in ingredients and taste. The staff was present, respectful, and genuinely cared about me having a positive experience.
Excellent hotel, very friendly and helpfull staff. The rooms was great, very clean with a fantastic view from the balcony. The breakfast was also exceptional.
The view from the property !
The staff had a huge attitude!! Specially at the front office and the logistics team . Also the hotel is very expensive and yet the shuttle service to the old town was not adequate!!
Newly renovate and a classical modern yet cycladic look. Service was very good as well as all the restaurants!
