Pros +
- Very convenient to getting into the center of Rothenberg. Easy walk to the gates and parking was good. Room was clean and comfortable.
- It was very nice and clean. The setting was lovely.
- Historic building near the castle. Good breakfast. Reasonable pricing.
Cons -
- We were on the top floor and there are a quite a few stairs to climb to get there. If you have any mobility issues I would definitely check beforehand to be sure you're booked on a lower floor. They did offer to bring suitcases up if we needed them to.
- It was high in the hill and difficult to reach except by taxi or car. It was also on a bus route, but we were not told that nor the bus to take. The receptionist was not helpful when asked how to use the telephone and other questions.
- There was insufficient room for parking for all the guests. The facility need some maintenance

Room met our needs Staff was friendly and helpful.

The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was a nice selection. Gardens and views were excellent. Very peaceful.
Not enough parking spaces. Only 4. And I very hard time finding spots on the street because of construction. Our room was on the top floor. That was alot of stairs to climb. But only with the suitcases was it really bad.
Clean and comfortable beds, a really spacious room, and everything you need inside—slippers, soap, towels.Daily cleaning.Breakfast wasn't very varied, but it was plentiful and delicious.Perfect location—just across the street from the small, cozy Carl Bosch Museum and a 15-minute walk from the Сastle along a beautiful street.I asked for sandwiches on departure because we were really tight on time for our train. I didn’t know if I would be able to buy food on the way, and a really pleasant woman at the reception made them for me free of charge. Thanks a lot!
The room could have been cleaner, but it wasn’t a big issue—just some dust from the trees since it was on the ground floor.Unfortunately, there was a moldy smell in the room, but we just aired it out.No fan in the bathroom.
Great place to stay in Heidelberg, beautiful location in the hills near the castle, great staff, clean rooms, and wonderful breakfast.
I like the location of the hotel. It's very quite near nature.
The bathroom is quite small. Breakfast doesn't have much to choose from. For the price should be better.
We liked our room, the breakfast room and breakfast itself too. The receptionist was very helpful. The location is beautiful., in a quiet leafy neighbourhood. We also appreciated the oil paintings on the walls.
Well, if you come without a car, your way down to the Old Town and back to the hotel will be complicated and may be tiring, depending on your physical condition. A half hour (at least) of quite steep descent and climb.
The view of the trees from the window in the bedroom was nice. The bed was comfortable and it was very quiet.
The private bathroom facility was too small and could use an update.
We booked a family room, which suited our needs, with easy access.
We ride motorcycles & the hotels location is high above the town, with some tricky hair pin bends to manoeuvre. It is in a beautiful area but it’s a fair walk down and had to taxi home.
It’s a comfortable hotel. Great for a one night stopover. Walking distance of Castle. Our room had a really nice sort of conservatory area. Breakfast was a nice continental selection. Staff were helpful and friendly.
No guests lounge, just a few tables outside in the courtyard and garden. No restaurant either …. a fact I failed to notice when I booked. No nearby restaurants bar one. There wasn’t a sofa in our conservatory area, just upright chairs, which were not really comfortable enough for a relaxed sit. Driving up the very narrow lane up to the hotel was a bit hairy!!
Very fine and elegant refurbishment Nice aera
Narrow roads to access the hotelParking free but quite small Bathroom was not well equiped
Lovely and peaceful high up on the hill. Large comfortable rooms. Friendly staff
No air con or fan
The staff was exceptional and made us feel so welcome.
It was very warm in our room. It would have been nice to have a standing fan while sleeping.
Location of the hotel is nicel, even though not so close to the Centre of town, but only 25 minutes walk to Heidelberg Castle. The room was nice. The breakfast was diverse and good. The hotel has its own small parking place and also few parking places on the street in front of the hotel.
Nice quiet location out of the main city area. Easy to walk down to the castle and city. Need transportation to get back up for older people
One staff person noisy in evening.
Parkhotel without parking inside, dirty room coming from the 70's
Very bad and dirty room with furniture still from the 70's.No instructions at all about parking, that would be nice to have for a parkhotel.Even if a parkhotel we had to park oustide in public parking on the street. The room has bad old furniture smell, that we noticed asa arrived, very strong even if we found windows open at arrival. The windows open let us also find a big wasp and a bug to give us the welcome to the room.
Friendly staff and good situated for visitors coming by car - free parking and walkable distance to the city.
Noise was spreading too much. Maybe we had a unfortunate room but noises from hall or room next to us were really loud.
Nice quiet lovation, comfortable bed
Smelly outdated interior, poor breakfast- no eggs
