Pros +
- The owner was very helpful and friendly. I stayed with my husband and two boys in a private room that hotel employee had put an extra mattress on the floor for us. Everything was clean and very safe. I loved it and would stay again.
- This hostel is at the base of the steps leading up to the Heidelberg Castle. It's location was excellent! Also the staff goes out their way to help you.
- Everything! Perfect location and staff were warm and friendly.
Cons -
- There was nothing that I didn't like. It was in a great part of town and very centrally located to everything.
- The mattress was a bit uneven.
- Noisy roommates? Haha... i feel some of them locals don't respect people and just be noisy at late night or early in the morning, poor planning but nothing the accommodation can reasonably control so lol – they do write courtesy and paste around but sometimes people don't follow but not a dealbreaker for a night

Everything! Perfect location and staff were warm and friendly.
I had a community of people who came all over the world including Germany. They classified long term people which help and the staffs are just so friendly.
They had female only rooms. Relaxed environment, friendly, and very clean.
The mattress was a bit uneven.
Great bedrooms. Excellent kitchen and lounge with great resources, coffee, tea, and cereal. The staff is amazing. Carmen was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. One of the top hostels I have stayed in.
Coffee, milk, cereal, bed, shower, washroom, staff i.e. everything. Location too.

Located in the old town, safe, clean, great common area , kitchen, free coffee/tea all day.
The staff was super friendly! Private lockers, the hostel felt cozy like a home, great location
The room was very comfortable and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hostel was a block away from the Christkindlemarkt. Perfect location.
Amazing location and the staff was a very welcoming and joyful at welcome. They were excellent before check-in in providing some information and giving directions to the hostel from the train station. They even provided a map of things to see.
I liked everything. Curtains for the beds would be nice for those who retire early when it’s still daylight. But I had a sleep mask, and made do.
It may be the first time I’ll award a 10/10 for a hotel but it is for good reasons only :- The locations first, just under the infamous Heidelberg’s castle and within the old city 1min away of the historic bridge, can’t be better!- The staff is more than welcoming and hard-working (cleaning the hostel 2 to 3 times on a daily basis is a work to be praised for!).- Considering the appeal and location the price remain more than affordable and mindful of hostels’ main target which are solo or small group of travelers.- The facilities available are equipped and furnished as needed with 3 showers, 2 WC, a commun kitchen and a sweet living room to enjoy evenings with other visitorsWill definitely be coming back as soon as possible <3(Wanted to add videos of the hotel but Booking only allows pictures :p)
This hostel is my go to location every time I visit Heidelberg. Carmen and Barbara are great hosts and the staff is very friendly.
Everything about Lotte, from its heritage to the location and the facility was near perfect. Lotte is convenient to both Heidelberger Schloss and the many wonders of Alstadt. The facility is clean, orderly and offers a most comfortable common room and kitchen. The dorms are very spacious and comfortable.
I can't think of anything.
Location, hostel full of charm, very efficiently run. Complimentary coffee/tea and milk/cereal was nice.
Men and women share the same bathroom.
Location is perfect, Staff is awesome always eager to help with a very nice attitude. They provide everything like milk, coffee, teas, body wash... Literally you only need to focus on backpacking. Best hostel ever
everything- the bed, showers had new jets and plenty of hot water, kitchen well stocked, internet worked great
some bathroom floor tile were a little loose
The host was very welcoming and the rooms and the restrooms were kept spotlessly clean and tidy .Also they had a kitchen to cook food and they provided free milk and cereals for breakfast.situated at the city centre just behind the castle.
Nothing I can actually think of
Staff was welcoming, showed us around, helped with laundry, oriented us to local sites and food!
It's a great hostel!
The common room was so cozy, the bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the free cereals and the coffee the hostel provided us in the kitchen also I was able to cook dinner as they also provide with all the kitchen utensils as well as a place in the fridge which is very budget friendly for a student like me. Also the place is very close to touristic places as well as the shopping district.
