The Heidelberg Exzellenz Hotel

Great central location close to old town. Very nice staff. Free wifi. Large comfortable room.

The entrance to the hotel made us question our choice. The lobby is the breakfast room. Unattractive hallways. But the room, staff and location made it a very good choice after all.

Great, helpful staff- spacious room

Bright in room in am and hit covers

Super comfortable beds, great location and very clean. 1100 checkout was super helpful.

Parking was challenging

It has en excellent location, clean and very spacious rooms.

The location was easy walking distance to the old town and Christmas Market. Appreciated the free parking space. The room was very tasteful, lots of space and very clean.

Prefer an actual shower but the bathroom was large which we appreciated.

It was clean and comfortable stay, the staff was very nice and helpful.

Wi-fi connection is really bad

Good compromise between train station and tourist area but both within walking distance

Breakfast is good but a bit pricey

I loved everything about this hotel: Beautiful, convenient location, nice staff. I was only there for a night and I'd totally stay again. Room and bathroom were spacious. They had an elevator. The bus stop is right around the corner, tho it's also pretty walkable to the main street.

Clean, comfortable, good location

The staff was wonderful! She knowledgeable about the area and gave great tips on places to eat and sightseeing!

Good location. Nice staff, but the front desk is only manned until 7pm. Nice breakfast.

Pillows leave something to be desired. As does the water pressure in the shower. Otherwise it's good!

Facilities were great.

We accidentally locked the one room key in our room. There was no human on site. We pulled up the reservation on our phone, emailed, called, etc. No luck. Our friend was trying to help and tried the number on the reservation but couldn’t get it to go through. A man, hotel guest, from Germany heard our dilemma and he called the number and told my friend how to obtain the key in the box outside. I think it is very strange that their isn’t a live person on site to assist guests! If this man wouldn’t of helped us, I doubt we would have been able to get into our room.

Lovely building, great location, very friendly and accommodating staff

Very clean and quiet room with comfortable bed and a fan. About 15 minute walk to the main train station and to the Old Town through areas that felt safe during the days. Wasn't out at night.

The curtains did not block the street light nor sunshine.

Excellent service. Mônica, from the front desk, gave me tips about the city and kept my luggage after checkout so I could enjoy my time. Close to the time of my trip, I was running very late and couldn’t find an Uber, so Jessica, also from the front desk, kindly called a taxi that saved the day! Outstanding service.

Clean, comfy and friendly. Excellent breakfast with soy yogurt, soy milk, vegan cheese. Also lots of fresh fruit, veggies and heart bread and nummy jam. They also had complimentary water and instant decaf coffee.

We didn’t stay long enough!

It’s location. The room was good. It was unusual that there isn’t anyone manning the welcome desk after 5 pm on Sunday & 7 pm on Monday. One of our party left their key on their room and without the help of a German speaking guest we would not have been able to get them into their room.

Location and studio : it was cosy

The airco took too much space

Good location, very friendly staff. The kitchenette in the room was extremely helpful.

Location, good breakfast, nice atmosphere

air-conditioner was super loud, impossible to sleep at night if it's on
