Royalty Barra Hotel

Always a pleasure to be at that hotel. The staff there is amazing, the location convenient and the rooms are super comfortable.

The breakfast could be a little better with more nice options for sweet and salty

Location is amazing, next to lots of restaurants and bars. Front of beach, my balcony was a beautiful view.

The first room I stayed in was really old and outdated, I was tired from my flight so I showered and took a nap.. when I woke up, I saw a little bug and I had to look up what it was.. discovered another bug and learned it was a bed bug.. I immediately went downstairs to tell the front and demanded another room.. at first the lady in front said “we can send someone to spray, but we cannot move you”.. when I went back up, the man who was spraying, moved the bed and saw a bunch of them on the wall. To where he made sure I was moved rooms… I had him check the new room and we both saw it was clean and didn’t look as outdated. I was still paranoid and made sure nothing of mine was contaminated

Location is great in Barra da Tijuca

The hotel night receptionist called Amarilo is a very ignorant person who doesn’t know how to welcome a customer. Staff in general always seem having a hard time showing hospitality.Hotel breakfast is very disappointing compared to any other hotel in the area.

Breakfast is acceptable and consists of tropical fruits. The location was excellent, close to the beach, but access to shopping requires a taxi or Uber. The room is very clean everyday altought i did not request to clean up the room every day. The security is very high, and I felt comfortable. Thank you for this memorable moment and for staying in Brazil.

from country (germany )where i came, i expected to have lots of variaty for breakfast with different breads and cheese. But i dont claim about that. because the strengths of the hotel compared to this weakness is too high.

Everything was great - location, staff are super nice and helpful, they checked our bags after checkout so we could enjoy the day, and gave us a top floor with an amazing view.

The shower was not up to cleanliness standards and did not work well. No water pressure, shower head was old and dirty.

Restaurant was terrible, all items in the menu, were not available… staff is rude especially the lobby.

No food available, besides the free breakfasts no items listed in the menu were available… I had to give money to a guest whom I didn’t know to pay for her hot water, staff has no change when this particular guest wanted to pay for hot water”

It was not very clean, bathroom shower need to be clean. Table at the breakfast area was not clean, very slop!

The location in Barra is very good! Next to the restaurants, and the room had an amazing seaview!

I don't think my stay was worth the price I had paid. The breakfast was always crowded and the staff couldn't refill the food in time, also the food wasn't very diverse and didn't look very delicious. The hotel didn't have flatirons to lend to the guests. The room had few power outlets, only one pillow for each bed (they kinda didn't like when we requested more) and the AC was sooo loud.

Check in is at 15:00 and check out at 11:00… worldwide it is check in at 14:00 and check out 12:00… only 1 person at the front desk speaks English. He was not there and he day we checked in.. swimming pool opens at 9:00.. the hotel is very good located … Breakfast so so… I did not like that day of check out already at 10:15 a staff member knocked on our door to clean the room. 5 min later front desk called us to inform us that check out is at 11 … ??

Location wise, staff is helpful

I left 300 reales as a deposit (in case something was missing/broken) They explained me this won’t be charged unless any of the above listed happened. I checked- out from the hotel the 12th January, my money was not reimbursed yet.

Location is great. View is amazing. It was very clean and housekeeping was great.

Staff was not super friendly. I didn’t feel welcome (except for the cleaning ladies who were great). Breakfast was also disappointing. Most of it was just several different types of bread. And the beer in the pool bar was warm.

Location is the best in Barra da Tijuca, its right in front of the beech and in the middle of all restaurants!

I liked the view from the balcony and the location of the hotel.

The staff was not helpfull at all, very difficult to communicate, they lack common sense. The door man just played his phone and was not helpful to show me the parking, you have to pay 85 BRL per night to park at the hotel. The floor of the room was not so clean, seem a bit oily/sticky. Expected a better breakfast from a 4 star hotel.
