Hotel Holiday Foz

Overall, this was a good hotel. My entire goal was to stay here while I visited the falls from both sides. The staff is friendly, and the hotel is comfortable and clean. Great value for money and offered a good breakfast. The property comes with a lovely pool area, which, unfortunately, I didn’t get to use. The hotel is easily accessible through Uber. And the falls are just 20-30 minutes away from the hotel, which can also be accessed by bus or Uber.

The Wifi was slow or wasn't working at times, but not a major deal breaker since I had Data on my phone.

The hotel's central location makes it easy to plan outings. The staff is very friendly, including Daniel, Marcos, and even the travel agent, Roney.

The condition of the room and TV could be improved, but it's acceptable.

We liked the location, the mattress quality for restful sleep and cleanliness of the space upon arrival. Breakfast was well served and tasty. Helpful staff when we asked to keep our bags during a day trip after having checked out.

No hangers or wall hangings for towels, made it difficult to dry because it’s a humid climate. Curtain was positioned atop our heads, without room to bring mattress forward due to the twin bed. No chair in room. A bit overpriced for value.

Rooms were VERY noisy. Mini fridge made a loud noise and sits next to the bed.Mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. Other guests were not polite and noisy at late hours, without any callout from management. On the last day, saw a roach in the breakfast area

I requested a full size bed but they didn’t provide it. Then they said a room was made available with a full size bed. I accepted. Once inside, I realized that: 1. It was dusty and the floors weren’t clean (dirt, dust, hair). The shower had no pressure so it was really difficult getting cleaned up. The room and bathroom were infested with ants coming from outside. The room wasn’t quiet (thin walls) so I could hear people chatting and walking, a child crying too. Overnight, the ants got in my bed and bit me in multiple parts. I also noticed cobwebs on the ceiling and tiny spiders “working”. Breakfast was ok but the staff not friendly. I left some food and fruit on my table to fetch more coffee and when I came back my table was cleared. I asked the maid and she just made a face and said something but I didn’t understand (I don’t speak portuguese). Overall a very bad experience.

Good location and great value. Room had air con and hot shower and comfortable bed. Breakfast had a good choice each morning.

Friendly, helpful staff, tour desk in the reception, hot shower, aircon, swimming pool, staff member offered to put our wet clothes in the dryer.

The room was a bit tired with only one usable plug for a 2 person room, bathroom smelled damp, noisy people in the other rooms and no quiet policy enforced
