I was assigned a room which had NO view of the Mountain OR the Scenic Beauty of Sikkim. So this was the ONLY NEGATIVE

Nothing as such

Rooms were very comfortable. Staff was very courteous. Resort itself is very beautifully made with many interesting artifacts and paintings.

Food could have been better. Food was average.

The property was fabulous. The staff equally kind and welcoming. Restaurant and the food were good, definitely beyond our expectations.The property is lovely and very spacious, not expected this in Gangtok. Room and the washroom were huge.

Casino wasn’t so good, staff also not so trained to welcome guests who probably are new. Journey from Bagdogra to Gangtok was quite a pain.

Few staffs are helpful

There are lot of things to start with, rooms are not well checked and my room had plumbing issues, housekeeping was bad they missed toiletries each time and didn’t check the shower gel being empty or not, food service in orchid take time for live counter, even the tv volume was minimal they other guest who had issue complaint , we requested staff to visit our room to check the volume but they kept calling to lower the volume without validating themselves. Not at all happy as a 5 star property and even after complaining at reception they were unapologetic

Very good property in a great location as heard from my friends.All staff are sincere and courteous as expected .i was thoroughly impressed specially at reception Mr. Prasant, from the moment i arrived make us feel welcome and attended to my every need.We had a memorable experience.thank you all mayfair team.

lovely property, helpful staff. the travel desk was really good! the spa was quite good too.

quite far from Gangtok city center requiring 30-45 min thru slow traffic to get there, which is a disadvantage. hotel didn't provide any refunds or extra services to make up for a cancellation due to medical emergency and given how much we had paid, some consideration would have been appreciated, even though it was hotel policy to not give refunds. water bottles weren't replenished in the room on the second day. and we got stuck in a lift for over 15 mins and the response from the staff could have certainly been better!

The property is nice, rooms are big and clean.

Staff was slow to respond, room call often not reachable, noise in the middle of the night was not contained even after calling multiple times. Food was very average for a 5* hotel.

It's a beautiful property, the villa s are spacious and have everything you can imagine.

The staff. Too much decor, spraying cheap 4oom freshner everywhere.

Amazing staff,food selection and spa. They go overboard to help you I any way. Staff is always sming and ready to help. Amazing vacation , will definitely come back.

The ambience was good and the infrastructure was superb.

The staff keep on calling before we check out which was disturbing and irritating at the same time. Would have stayed longer but seems like the staff don’t want us to stay at all.

I had booked the space for my parents anniversary and it was a delightful experience and Mayfair no wonder is one of the best property in Gangtok ...They took extra care of my instructions for my parents so I am grateful

That they couldn't give me a booking in Darjelling :-) They have been wonderful frankly

Location and casino

Property is good, Food was good but spread was good ... can be more. But other services, like mainly information flow and mismanagement, which is a complement to the property.

Leadership is unprofessional, that is propagated downwards in the hierarchy.40k a night should meet expectations, every now and then I was disappointed, and humiiated by Casino staffs. I feel funny and sad to myself that I paid 40k for that. I am now curious to know the criteria for "5 star".

Location, and big room size

Very poor Resturent Service, alankrita menu it takes 1 hour to serve otherwise has to take buffet. No Person to take care near swimming pool, or kids play area, or play room.

Bad

Over priced.Casino food is horrible. It was like of a local dhaba not of a 5* hotel.All double beds are joined. Not suitable for couples Service is slow.

The property was good. Absolutely outstanding interior & exterior. Food taste good. But could have been much better. The service was good. Overall the stay was good. But still feel it's highly overpriced. Could have been a little lower as per the overall stay experience.

The quality of food could improve.

we stayed in Grand villa . Massage was excellent in spa. House keeping was good.

wash rooms has to be renovated. should appoint more staff in the restaurant at breakfast time.
