    Pros +

    • Excellent location, just a short walk to the center of town. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the hotel is beautifully designed. The rooms are great!
    • Hotel in a great spot, but a brisk, curt staff. Unwilling to give us change for the off-site parking, and very little help otherwise. However, it is literally right around the corner from the shopping and the hotspots, which is great.
    • this property is in the prime location, right at the city center

    Cons -

    • The walls are a bit thin, so I was woken easily by children running and jumping above me and dogs barking. This isn't by fault of the hotel. Staff was apologetic and offered to movem me. Great response!
    • The staff was especially unfriendly and unhelpful, with a fake smile and little empathy.
    • The check-in counter doesn’t match the decoration. If the check-in counter can be moved to the library/lobby, it would look more grand and more expensive.

The Duca D'Aosta Hotel is located very close to the center of Aosta. Our room was nice sized with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was modern. The desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We reserved parking with the hotel at a underground lot across the square from the hotel. We enjoyed our stay and wished it could have been longer.

We couldn't stay for breakfast the day that we left, we wished that we could have.

Location is excellent. It is next to the main square. The staff was friendly and professional. The hotel and adjoining restaurant/caffe are well appointed.

location, breakfast, front desk service, hot water maker for tea in room, bed was comfortable

shower was difficult because water splash on floor, room was cold in the night....extra blanket could be useful

Beautifully appointed hotel near center. Staff are fantastic, assisting with parking, restaurants, and all questions we had! Lovely room with balcony that we enjoyed far too short. We will definitely come back to Aosta one of these days.

Wish it faces the main piazza

The hotel is in a very good location, in the middle of the historic center of Aosta. The room was very clean and had a beautiful view of the mountains. Staff was very friendly. Although the hotel is “wheelchair accessible”, we had to request help from the staff to get in and out the elevator. They had to unlock the door to access the elevator. They were very helpful, but it always entailed extra steps and delays.

Everything. But the breakfast may have been the best hotel breakfast ever. Friendly well informed staff and the best location in town.

Delightful hotel with the most kind and helpful staff. Breakfast overlooking the lake was a treat!

    Location

I’m not sure why this is considered a 4-star hotel. The shower doesn’t function properly, the room is small, there’s noticeable noise from outside, and the room has an unpleasant odor.

    10MiekePosted on: 8-27-2025

The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was fabulous. The location of the hotel couldn’t be better. Will definitely come back!

    Nothing. Everything was great.

I like the hotel for its close location to the bus station as we need to travel around. I like the lobby as it does give an old charming feel.

The hotel could not provide the room even we have arrived later than 3pm. Besides, if they could have moved our luggage from the storage room to our room, that would be good, instead of asking us to move them ourselves later at night!

Location of was very central. Our view of mountains and the city was wonder, furnishings are nice. Bathroom was large. Reception staff was warm, friendly and helpful.

Cleaning needs to be improved. The restaurant unfortunately was not on par with great neighborhood restaurants. Would not recommend breakfast for the price either. Smaller rooms than expected.

Very comfortable, clean and renovated rooms. Super central location and easy access. Very friendly staff and excellent breakfast

The double bed is two twins together (very common in Italy) but would be more comfortable if it were a double or queen mattress

The well kept, old world charm was wonderful. The staff could not have been more helpful. The parking garage was super close and very easy to negotiate. The hotel represents honest value, in a central location that can’t be beat.

    10Robert E.Posted on: 8-4-2025

The front desk people were very helpful. Excellent breakfast. The location is conveniently close to both the old part of town (it is within the walls of the old town) and close to the bus stop and train station.

Location is perfect. Rooms well equipped and spacious.

Bathtub , view from our window, breakfast

No amenities like bath soap and lotion or hair conditioner

Our usual choice in Aosta. Very comfortable, public parking 4 mins walk, no hassle to check in late, as reception opens 24 hours. I have tried different hotels/private bnb there, but this is our hotel when we are in Aosta
