Pros +
- Friendly staff with comfy, clean rooms and delicious food
- Very well maintained place, with welcoming and friendly staff. Very clean. Excellent location if you plan to visit various Val d'Aosta locations.
- Lovely hotel simply but styled in a thoughtful colourful way. Room was lovely, very comfortable bed, fabulous shower. Vegan dinner was excellent. Beautiful views of mountains and church
Cons -
- Would have been helpful to have plug socket by bed.
- No haircooling on the room.
- All dishes were vegetable based. I should have researched more, however the food we were served was tasty and fresh - living up to the description on the menu. The hotel NOT at fault, my research was to blame.

It was our second visit to the hotel. The location is great. The atmosphere really quiet and calm. Staff attentive. Best of all is the fully vegan menu. The food was delicious. We will definitely stay again en route.
Hirondelle Laconda, a small, family-run hotel, lies above the captivating town of Aosta with a splendid view of the mountains. In April, we woke to the sound of a cuckoo and the magic of mist-enshrouded mountains and were then treated to an exceptional breakfast of so many homemade cakes and cheeses, yogurts and fruits, perfect cappuccino, muesli and other delights that we might have spent the day in the dining room rather than heading off on our journey! The charming sisters Alicia, the chef, and Nathalie, the hotelier, as well their parents are committed to an idea of hospitality that is so genuine and rare these days, evident in their attentiveness, cordiality, and cheerfulness as well as in the spotless rooms, the well-trained staff, and in their willingness to help plan a memorable stay in the Aosta Valley. Such is their genuine kindness and good humor that when we departed we felt as if we were more than guests and were saying goodbye to beloved family members. We had thought of staying at a large hotel in Courmayeur with a spa and I believe a Michelin star, but we were all so happy with our choice, knowing that what we received was a unique experience, a treasured, star-studded highlight of our trip to Italy.
Nice hotel located in a nice and quiet area.Very nice hosts.Excellent breakfast.
Everything was perfect, the staff is super nice and helpful! The room is spacious and clean. The view was amazing

Beautiful place in the mountain, large room, modern bathroom. Staff very friendly and welcome. Easy to park the car. Good breakfast with homemade products. Happy to have been their !
No haircooling on the room.
Excellent modernised facilities with great views of the mountains around.

Location was was great. Attention to detail. Lovely staff
No air conditioning although freak warm weather.
We stayed at the Hirondelle in May and we vowed that we would return after having a lovely experience and stay. On this occasion, the welcome was very warm and friendly, just like the first time we stayed. We were travelling by bike and we were able to store the bikes in a secure garage. I would strongly recommend the hotel for others who are bike touring and heading for the Grand St Bernard pass.
For some reason, we found the beds a bit hard on this occasion but, that could have been due to our long day spent in the saddle.
The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. The views from the room were stunning.tucked away but what a gem that is worth while finding. Breakfast simple but everything fresh and full of taste.
Lovely little place in a beautiful position.
We were not aware that the restaurant was entirely vegetarian/vegan. This was not made clear from the Booking.com details and, oddly, not mentioned in reviews we read. Perfect for me - not for my husband.
Stunning property, location and owners. The girls are so friendly and helpful. This place is a gem. We sat having drinks on their terrace looking down the valley and were in heaven.
We liked the friendly welcome and the ambiance as soon as we arrived. We liked the contemporary style of the hotel. The bedroom was comfortable and bright. The vegetarian menu for dinner was excellent and we enjoyed the focus on locally produced ingredients. Ideal for a short stay en route to the Grand St Bernard pass.
Our room faced the road and there was a bit of noise from passing cars.
expect something special. the sisters running the house invested a lot in the room. moreover one feels the personality of both in a most pleasant way. we got there early and got a delicious chees plate and cappuccinos served out in the gardens. the vegetarian dinner was full of flavor and also the breakfast next morning was outstanding. we’ll come back if possible
hmmm there is nothing we could say
Very friendly staff, great breakfast and a wonderful view on the valley.
We spent an enjoyable and relaxing weekend here. Our stay was very comfortable and the food, both breakfast and dinner, made using quality local ingredients, was excellent. The hostesses were exemplary (and helpfully spoke good English). The hotel is in a tiny village a few kilometres up the hill above the fascinating Roman city of Aosta. Our room was sizeable, well decorated and spotless and had beautiful views over the Aosta Valley and the Italian Alps.
great place with an amazing mountain view. very cosy and clean, with a very friendly staff and great service
