Hotel & Restaurant Le Charaban

The convenience on our trip from Italy to France. The room was lovely, great shower, comfortable bed and great staff. Parking was convenient. The restaurant on site was excellent and the breakfast was generous and the variety was exceptional.

This place is great! Great location, nice and clean rooms, beautiful views. The food at the restaurant is delicious. Staff is very nice.

this was a wonderful friendly place to stay. We decided yo drive until we needed a rest and easily found this great place to stay. it was reasonably priced, clean and included breakfast.

A small family run hotel on the edge of town, uphill and on the edge of a small, neat suburban estate - with views towards the mountains.Welcoming staff, with good clean comfortable room.Excellent dinner and a good breakfast.Recommended as a base for a night or two visiting Aosta and the nearby National Park.Easy onsite parking.

The property was very clean and as we were travelling with a dog it was really handy to have the outdoor staircase just outside our bedroom which enabled us to go in and out without disturbing other residents.

Perfectly positioned for us, stuff were very cordial and accommodating, room spacious and clean. Excellent restaurant on site.

Easy parking, lovely team of people, comfortable room with a balcony, great bed and OMG what a restaurant! Dinner is a must at this surprisingly great kitchen.

The road there out of the main street is a little bit tricky (I assume this is normal due to the location and main use of the facility (skiing))

The location of the hotel was excellent. We found the owners so helpful and obliging. The owners offered to run our party down to the town and then collect us later that evening.

Nothing to dislike, a very enjoyable experience. We would revisit if we are looking for accommodation in the area.

The situation was superb.The breakfast was very good.Lovely balcony with table and chairs with superb views of the mountains.

We delayed our planned arrival by one day because we were informed the restaurant would not be open on the evening of our arrival. I asked if the restaurant would be open on the evening of our new arrival date? I was told it would be. This was an important point for us because we were travelling from Lucca, and would be tired, and the menu in the restaurant looked amazing.When we arrived, we booked in, and were then told the Restaurant was closed! It seems that the previous evening there were lots of guests, so they decided to open the restaurant for them, and close it instead on our new arrival day! We were told that there were restaurants down the hill in the town. This meant getting back into the car. Not on. We asked for local food shops, and were given directions. We picked up non-smelly convenience food and brought it back to the hotel to eat on our balcony overlooking the mountains. I explained at Reception that we had bought food and would they be good enough to lend us plates and cutlery. The answer was a straight no! I asked again in case she thought I was asking for a " plate of food" . This was met by an even firmer "no" , the crossing of arms and a step backwards. My company paid a lot for me to learn different skills, and one of them is reading body language. There are no prizes for getting the answer to this one. To our further annoyance, a small group of people arrived and entered the Restaurant, whereupon, cooking began in the kitchen. We ate our cold evening meal on the bedroom balcony.I am an ex Hotel and Restaurant Inspector and cannot fathom their attitude to us. There was a definite atmosphere, and it was there before us.In addition, the reception area was very dark and not welcoming. We had a drink at the Bar, which lacked lighting and the dark furniture did not help matters.I have written many reviews and have delayed writing this one to ensure my words are balanced.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were comfortable and clean with amazing views of the surrounding mountains, the food however was excellent. While the hotel is 3* the food is 5*.

The hotel was a little too far to be able to walk into Aosta and the hotel is right on a main road which can be a little noisy as traffic is fast. This was not a problem during the night but day and evening only. I dont consider this a major issue as it was not really much of a problem but the photos on the website dont give any indication.

The room was clean and of a good size, and so was the bathroom. The views are beautiful. The linen was good and the mattress and pillows were very good. Breakfast was excellent. I would add that the dinner was very good. Le Charaban offer excellent value for money.

The location, near a busy roundabout, with occasional loud traffic and no pavements for a safe relaxed walk.

Very cozy hotel, great location. Perfect for a family, good breakfast included. Room was clean and spacious, with a great view.

We were on route to Ancona from the UK. It was just off the E25 easy to find with a very good restaurant and pet friendly.The staff were very friendly and helpful we couldn’t have asked for anything to make our stay any better.
