    Pros +

    • Great hotel for stay, excellent restaurant for dinner with a typical breakfast. We have been staying at this hotel for years
    • The location was good for my event.
    • Okay hotel but you get what you paid for. It was a humid day but I couldn't get the air-conditioning to work. Opening a window was also bad because the hotel is next to a big road and people smoked just outside of my window. Parking is very narrow and people come and go at all hours. The beds are comfortable and clean. The bathroom is alright but could go with an upholstering. Breakfast is varied but not everything works (toaster didn't go on, scrambled eggs were cold at 730)Gym is diverse for a hotel, but next to an amusement room so can be full of loud children

    Cons -

    • The rooms tend to get a bit stuffy, so I had to open the window for some fresh air. However, the noise from the restaurant guests, hovering in front of the exit until the early morning hours, did not allow me to sleep until past 01:00.There were ants and a spider in the two rooms that I used on this occasion. While the ants were removed during my absence, it is not something that one can expect upon arrival and speaks to the lack of thorough cleaning. A friend of mine in another room noticed the same issue at the other end of the hallway. While having tiles on the floors is easier to maintain and clean, the hallways echo any activity and disturb the guests in the room. A child running in the hallway and his father calling him/her was extremely loud. Having a carpeted hallway would help dampen the noise. While I was trying to sleep, the TV turned on by itself at midnight precisely, with some emergency information.I could also hear guests in other rooms seemingly moving furniture until the early morning hours, which was also very disruptive. Carpeting in the rooms would also help with dampening the noise and providing a more comfortable stay.
    • poor sound isolation, could hear everything from the neighbor room
    • The equipment of the room is not satisfactory, there was not even a glass in the room. The wellness department can be used for a disproportionately expensive surcharge. The room included a jacuzzi, which could also be used for an extra charge, but the price was not indicated anywhere. The lady at the reception said €25 per person... We paid €50, but we had to install the jacuzzi ourselves because the staff only do it for an extra charge. We filled the jakuzzi with water, which we tried to operate because the bubble did not work. We complained at the reception, the lady said that if you need bubbles, you have to pay extra which is 50 Euros/person. I was already very upset, but by the time I got back to the room it was working properly. This jakuzzi originally belonged to the room and not to the wellness department, I think it is not fair that you have to pay for an extra money, especially this information is not indicated anywhere. The wellness department can not be used with a 10-year-old child, it has an age limit, so we didn't use it either because we didn't leave the child alone in the room. In the bathroom, the ceiling was freshly plastered, cables were hanging from the wall, and we woke up in the morning to find that the grass was being cut right next to our room. Overall, the prices of the rooms are adequate, but if you want to use anything, you can pay for everything, so it costs much more than if you went to another hotel. 1 night plenty enough from this, never go back again.

Great place to spend a relaxing time. I highly recommend massage and beauty treatments! Just amazing and extremely relaxing! The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Tasty breakfast and good food in the hotel restaurant. Hotel room was spacious with a large terrace. It takes about 15 minutes car ride to get to Varese. I can highly recommend this place

The location and the staff who served us in the restaurant

The extremely noisy children who appeared to be in the pool until very late. The sound travelled to our room and made sleep difficult. We would also have liked to have had an hour in the spa but could only have 2 hours for €20 each. As it closed at 8pm and we wanted to get something to eat after driving up from Rome, we would have loved a shorter time in the spa for half the money as it was too expensive to go for a short time to fit around a meal.

Best olive oil ever! Nice spa, great and kind staff! Cute little personal garden.

There was no (functioning) airconditioning in our room

Room was good, easy parking, good food at restaurant. Great spa

    Separate beds instead of one

Nice location with a great view. The hotel and room were very clean, and the staff was very polite. The restaurant served delicious food. The general interior of the hotel was okay. However, it was disappointing to find out upon arrival that kids are not allowed in the swimming pool. Unfortunately, it was out oversight.

The mini bar only had water, and we were charged €2 per bottle.

Quiet and clean. Good location, near the train station, just at the boarder with Switzerland. Nice outdoor surroundings. I haven't tried the spa.

Train or your own car is really the way to move around since no taxis nor uber are really operating in the area.

For a one night stop driving from Germany to Tuscany this was perfect. It had a restaurant attached for dinner that was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a pretty extensive gym in the basement level that we used and i absolutely loved. Breakfast buffet in the morning was also quite tasty and had a good amount of options with all fresh foods!

    9FrancoisPosted on: 9-18-2023

The room was spacious and clean and facing the garden so it was quiet too. The location was convenient as I needed to go to Switzerland frequently. The restaurant was also good and there was enough parking space too.
