Grand Hotel Majestic

Great staff, location and nice place in the water.

The hotel, rooms, beach, breakfast, staff.

Dinner is expensive and not so good.

The hotel itself is beautiful and ideally located

Service is average - for example, housekeeping does not clean the rooms every day, the team was not very receptive to requests, etc.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Our suite was spacious and well designed. The shower was a bit small.Breakfast was standard, and I hoped to find baked beans or roesties as an add on.But in general it was good.

Breakfast should be more variety.

The hotel is exceptional. The architecture, location and view are amazing. Service is very good, from the front desk to the bar and restaurant.We booked one night but wished we had booked more and now that we know of the hotel and lake Maggiore we will be back for a longer stay.

Bed was very clean but a bit too firm.

a bit outdated in the service of what you expect from this kind of hotel. minibar in the room is very poor (no snacks of any kind)and the room don't even have a kettle or coffee machine. the breakfast also is not so wow in term of choice, but the quality of the food is good.

Location was excellent as well as the common areas.

The window did not work. Also the lights in the bathroom did not work.I would have expected a hotel like this to have a standing shower.

Beautiful, directly on the Lago Maggiore, nice for swimming in the lake or even in the indoor pool.

Breakfast was okey but had some air for improving

A beautiful place. Loved the peaceful garden, the lake, the pool. Fantastic to have an aperitivo on the terrace during sunset.

Nothing to dislike. Just one detail that could be improved. We had one of the smaller rooms in the hotel, where the shower is in a very small space next to the bathroom, this was not very convenient, in particular there is nothing there to hang your towel.

Fabulous Hotel, on the lake front with direct access. We stayed in the annexe apartments, very recently refurbed. Very high standard for a 4 star hotel.

Location, the hotel itself is a great location, Lake front, but the closest town Pallanza is not so nice, looks like it has seen better days.

Wonderful classic hotel, great location on the lake. Bliss to be lying in the sun in the garden and then have a quick refreshing dip into the lake or the hotel pool.

The location is excellent. It is tranquil, scenic, and close to the centre of Verbania with Cafés, restaurants, and ferry stop. The hotel has tennis courts, which is a plus.

Real fast was outstanding. Loved the view over the lake early in the morning. Rooms were comfortable and it was quiet. Loved our balcony.

A very traditional hotel with super friendly staff and a wonderful location, does not get much better, on the lake with large well kept grounds.

The hotel is a bit dates in all aspects, everything feels old, needs a paint job, beds are very small, it is no longer charming old but needs an update old.

Not a thing

Location is excellent, right on the lake. Very quiet area of town but easy to walk to. Grounds are beautiful.

Bedrooms are small. No tea/coffee facilities.

The hotel is in a beautiful location with views all around across the lake and picturesque town of Pallanza. The staff were charming and very helpful. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. The setting was peaceful and tranquil - just what we were looking for.

Cleanness and staff are top notch. The hotel has a parking lot free of charge for guests. The breakfast is fair.

A magnificent late 19C Grand Hotel which has had to adapt itself to modern tourist trends to cover its overheads. That means short term tourist groups.

With just modest expenditure some of the obvious differences between its rating as a four star hotel and its natural five star historic rating could be ironed out. Little things like uncomfortable pool loungers that slide away when sat on come to mind.

The garden, access to the lake, views were outstanding.

Options for lunch and dinner were limited if you did not use the expensive restaurant. The bar menu could have had more choice.We had a road side view which was significantly less good than lake side and this should have been reflected in the price.
