Hotel La Contrada

Located in the city center; spacious & clean rooms and comfortable beds; beautiful balcony & surroundings.

The hotel was closed when we arrived at 7:15, parking was also difficult due to construction nearby no elevators--I wish the hotel would let us earlier. No elevator; breakfast was not great.

We stayed for four nights in this neat little hotel in a very central location. The room was clean and impeccably tidied everyday, and the AC worked like a dream. We also got good tips for restaurants and events from the staff.

If you're a light sleeper, please take into account that noise from the street carries into the rooms. Then again, the streets fall quiet pretty early.

Great location and staff was kind and very helpful for planning transportation and enjoying the area. Hope to be back next year!

Could have given a few glasses or proper cups in room. Paper cups a bit cheap.

The hotel is central to Verbania and remarkably quiet. The staff were really helpful during check in / check out and helped us with some questions we had.

Everything- clean room. Matteo and all the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Situated right in the centre of Verbania close to bars and great restaurants a short walk to the shore of Lake Maggiore.

The single room overlooked a public Garden. Which became very noisy each night. People fighting, screaming or just groups chatting. Disturbing. But not the Hotels fault.There is no Lift. Breakfast is 15 Euro.

Very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff! Very nice location in the heart of Intra. Lots of bars, shops, restaurants and cafes only few minutes away by foot. Comfortable bed and quiet neighborhood.

Some equipment in the room was not working as intended/desired (fridge not cold enough for meat or cool drinks etc; hair dryer stopped working), rooms are not really sound-proof to adjacent rooms.

The bathroom was a little small, and it was confusing to find the front desk from the street. No real complaints about anything

Matteo on reception responded promptly to our questions before our stay. And on check in he gave us clear information about the room. He was so helpful and polite. He is certainly made our stay easy and stress free. The hotel itself is all that you could want. It’s clean, spacious and well located.

- the localisation is great, in the city center. - Everything was really clean. - You can have accès to à parking not far away and park close enough to drop/pick your luggage ? - you just need a code to come back in the accommodation (so you are free of your timing)

- the air conditioner couldn’t be turned off during the night ??‍♀️ but that’s not a big deal - the differents rooms aren’t soundproof between them

Very good location in the city centre, but still very quiet and cosy. Excellent staff, very active cleaning, everything was as expected. Breakfast was served peofessionally and the lady taking care of the sevice was extremely kind and service minded. Thanks Matteo and all the others for very good guidance and help.

Everything was on the expected level or even better. There is nothing to be unsatisfied with.

It was easy to hear the neighbor on the phone talking, this was a bit distracting yet it must depend on your room and the volume of somebody talking. :-)

the aircondition gives a horribal dripping noise at the middle of the night. Even though its switched off. The noise was there for 2 hours and I was unable to sleep. Furthermore the Wifi didn’t reach my room at all.

Central location. Exceptionally clean. Great WiFi. Good value for money.

It wasn’t an issue for us as we’ve stayed many times in Verbania and enjoyed the view at other hotels, but there is no chance of any views of the lake and mountains as the hotel is right in the heart of the town.

One member of staff, Matteo, was particularly helpful and accommodating. The location in the middle of the old town is superb. Unfortunately, the mattresses were a bit too firm and springs could be felt. Didn't try the breakfast, as there were plenty good cafés just around the corner with better value-for-money.
