Amazing and beautiful accommodations on the top of the hill with an incredible view of the city below! The rooms were lovely and spacious. The restaurant at the hotel was fabulous and should not be missed... tho a bit pricey...it was worth entry Euro!

Our stay at this hotel was truly excellent. From the warm and professional service at the reception to the comfort of the room, everything exceeded our expectations. We liked everything!

I liked the historical location of the property being on the upper part of the city. The hotel has a charming garden and breakfast veranda under grapevines.

I didn’t really like the room we were given as I had to walk up a staircase to the bed. we were also told we had the only bedroom with an air conditioner.. Perhaps the property should consider installing more air conditioners as summers in Italy can get very hot.

The picture on the website showed a bathtub, but our room only had a shower.

Location and grounds are stunning! Breakfast was delicious, with speedy service. Room was beautifully appointed. Aesthetically, this hotel is outstanding. Our dinner at their restaurant was also exceptional.

No AC and no window screen to keep out mosquitoes, so it was quite warm for sleeping.Folded bathrobes were topped by a long black hair.In the middle of the night a power outage turned on the floor light--which could not be turned off! We ended up covering it with the trash can and lost 30 minutes of needed sleep.Staff did not confirm our airport transfer, which led to a 40-minute delay and much anxiety.

Traveling to the hotel we had a little hitch with the car. The hotel staff were exceptional, kind, attentive, polite, caring and responsive. I recommend this place. I will go back there.

Given the location it would be nice if there was some room service options. Access to restaurants is limited and those close by extremely expensive.

We drove ourselves to the property. They warn you in advance to only follow their directions to reach the hotel. What they don’t fully explain is that for the final couple of kms, you will be driving on narrow cobblestone roads which double as walkways, including going through outdoor dining facilities. We really thought we were lost & driving illegally. Several corners were so sharp, we had to do a 3 point turn to get around. They offer paid parking (which we used because there was little else available) & it was also difficult to get into/out of. No car or pedestrian harm caused, but were were relieved to safely get in & out. Maybe Europeans are used to this type of old town driving.?

A very nice boutique hotel at the very top of Bergamo. A beautiful view (when it’s not foggy) opens up to the whole city of Bergamo, which is stunning. The bed is very comfortable and you have extra pillows and blankets in the room. All amenities provided including extremely soft bathrobes. Great underfloor heating. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast and a beautiful location.

Upon arrival to the main entrance/ driveway, there was an a pleasant sewage smell and a truck to remove sewage. After it had rained the smell did get less strong. Location is wonderful if you are coming by car or planning to stay up on the hill. Otherwise, to get to the main part of the city you can take a walk down (about 30-40 mins, or take a funicular and bus), same goes for the way up, but the funicular is closed in the evenings and night.

The property is incredibly beautiful, the room was lovely, the breakfast was great, and the views were sublime. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I wasn’t aware we couldn’t eat in our room which is important to us when travelling for weeks. However they made up a table for us to eat in the restaurant when we ordered food delivered. I would have liked to know that the pizza restaurant only opened certain nights and room service was not possible then. But there are many great options in Citi Alta for dinner. It wouldn’t stop me staying or recommending the hotel, it is a very special place and the staff were absolutely lovely.
