Good, quiet location, 15min walk from the old Town - good restaurants a 5 min walk along the road. Friendly hosts, good breakfast, ample on site parking

Wonderful place so pretty and scenic. Mario and his family were perfect hosts. Breakfast with plenty of choice. Only 20 minute walk to the old town. Bergamo is a great place to explore lots of lovely places to eat and have the odd vino.

A small, super-charming and comfortable hotel lying in the most beautiful and quiet surroundings just a short walk from Citta Alta.The staff are very sweet and helpful in every way and the rooms were large and comfortable. If you like hiking, there is only a few hundred metres to the Fonte dei vasi trail that goes through a beautiful forest and to the top of the city.

Breakfast was compact but excellent, high quality and enough variance for a longer stay. Location is great if you want to walk to the Citta Alta, but want to sleep in quiet and enjoy nature. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Some small things like no ventilation in toilet, so room was a little humid after taking a shower, but nothing that opening a window wont fix.

A beautiful facility and location with the most amazing breakfast. The staff were lovely. We did find the road below our room a bit noisy and could also hear the conversations of adjacent guests quite clearly, but other than that, it was a five star experience.

We had a great time at La Valetta Relais. Great location, service and breakfast! Having breakfast at the terrace is a must.

We loved everything about La Valetta Relais. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is lovely. Giacomo was particularly helpful with suggestions for things to do.The breakfast every morning was delicious also. The location is also great for exploring the old town

The owner are incredible nice. It feels like staying with family. They give great advices. They upgraded our room because a better one was available. The breakfast is delicious, the location is close to the old town (10min walking) and they even offer a free shuttle transfer 3 times a day. It is a little paradise with a great view and a real Italian charm.

We spent 2 nights in Bergamo in one of La Valetta’s Junior Suites and cannot recommend the property highly enough. It is excellent value for money, owned and run by an extremely friendly and helpful family. The location is perfect and the shuttle service to the Citta Alta efficient and reliable.We hesitate to give anyone a 10, but after experiencing so many unrealistically flattering reviews on Booking.com we were delighted to stay in a property where the accolades are genuinely deserved.

The staff was extremely friendly. The location is great, with a large garden in front, very quiet and pleasant atmospehere. Excelent breakfast, with enough choises (from our point of view). The bed was comfortable.We would gladly return.

Absolutely charming and wonderfully peaceful. The staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly. It’s a genuinely family atmosphere with beautiful views and in the nicest part of high Bergamo. Our room was very comfortable and clean and we liked it so much we stayed an extra night. Breakfast was tasty and freshly prepared. We took their recommendations for local restaurants and ate extremely well from a great little inexpensive family run trattoria in walking distance to a very interesting Michelin starred restaurant at the top of the hill with breathtaking views. A very pleasant experience and more than we expected

Would have liked a bath rather than a shower but could have requested that if we’d booked a suite. Will do that when we come back !

Everything.... The staff so helpful and friendly... Nothing was too much trouble...the location.. For some they might not like to walk 15 mins into town... But we loved the peace of it... The forest behind. Plus lovely breakfast ?

Excellent place. So peaceful. Beautiful, large bedroom with a lovely view. The breakfast was plentiful and in a wonderful room overlooking the hills and valleys. Really a fantastic stay, thank you. Highly recommended to anyone going to Bergamo. A short stroll to the old city (about 1 km).
