ibis Sion Hotel

I have stayed at this hotel several times and found it to be excellent value for money. Young, courteous, and efficient staff. Convenient location for getting anywhere in Sion. Ibis standard quality. Overall, good. I will definitely be back.

The great thing about IBIS hotels is that you always know what to expect: basic but comfortable. Excellent value for money. In Sion, too, our expectations were met: young and very courteous staff, very clean rooms, comfortable beds, hot and powerful showers. The bar serves good draft beer, and for those who are hungry, there is an evening restaurant service with a daily menu. A short walk away is the shopping center with shops, Migros and Dennner supermarkets, and cafeterias. Very close to the highway exit, convenient and quiet. There are numerous parking spaces reserved for hotel guests (for a fee, 10CHF) around the property. 10 out of 10, I will gladly return! One note: breakfast could be improved. Both in terms of quality and quantity.

One note: breakfast is rather sparse. By 7:30 a.m., there is nothing left, and the restocking service is not as efficient as one would expect in Switzerland. Yogurt is only available in bulk; there is no packaged yogurt.

There were absolutely zero facilities in the room! Not even the electric kettle for making coffee or Iron Box! Even after paying 246 Francs for 2 nights just got a basic room!

Breakfast contents was very good, in my opinion better than normal IBIS standard

The breakfast room was not very nice, I feel that with the same area and a little more care you could have reached a more inviting breakfast room - yes I know "you get what you pay"

Staff good n helpful

Noise isolation is terrible here. I could hear heavy footsteps during the night and in the morning cleaning staff making noise in the room above at 8am. Also my room had 2single beds but the single beds were really narrow.

The price, uncomplicated check-in and check-out, the location.

Easy to find property, the room size is reasonable. The bathroom is small and in average shape.

The room I had was very noisy (it looks like is was next to a utility room or something like this). There was no restaurant, room service, ….. The park place has to be paid, which given the park place condition is a bit of a cheap practice.

Staff just great. Location not too far for ski. Clean and good hotel

Really friendly and nice staff, especially to our kids. Great family options with two connected rooms.Nice breakfast with tasty options from sweet to salty.Two heaters/ radiator inside the hotel room, which was great for drying ski gloves.Ski and baggage room right next the checkin.

I liked the hotel, small room but comfortable. Clean towels almost every day. Friendly staff. Very warm (pack yourself light pajamas as it won't be cold at all)

The room was very dusty, me and my boy suffer with allergies and it was very bad during the nights. Apart from the floors that need extra attention for cleaning I cannot complain about anything else. Maybe the hoover needs replacing.

They didn’t say there was an additionalCharge for a dog online or when we arrived and they stated they could provide a gluten free breakfast but then didn’t have any bread.

Easy access to city center, clean location, view to the castle.

The bed was squeaking everytime I was moving during the night

Pillows were nice.

No milk alternatives available at breakfast i.e. soy or oat milk Lost my phone and smart watch charger in the room, when i called the next day, staff was very unhelpful at the phone, was told they will call back but they never did. Disappointing.

The room was very dark and there were spiderwebs on the ceiling. The internet connection wasn't always working properly.

In the City of Sion with easy access, near the main road and with parking. Staff was great :). Breakfast was very good, with a great variety. Rooms were as Ibis, nothing less nothing more. Double beds with shower tv desk and all good for the night :)

I liked the late check in option the reception offered, as we were arriving later at night, but the receptionist was kind and helpful. The room was spacious, the bed - very comfortable.

I would have liked to have a boiling pot and prepare some tea early in the morning with our 4th floor top view of the mountain peak and the fortress in Sion.

Easy to find. Restaurant/bar on site. Meal was very good. Parking on site.

Lift broken. Service time could have been ‘sharper’.
