Wadi Rum Backpacker Camp

Best experience of my life. I loved every minute I spent in the desert. The full day jeep tour is a must. And the bedouin food, zarb, was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend this stay in Wadi Rum.

great location, really clean bathrooms for the desert, great value we spent 60 JOD for 2 nights accom, full day jeep tour, 2 dinners, 2 breakfast and 1 lunch. Great value for our time there.

the location and accomodation was all amazing. our only bad feedback was our full day tour we did through the accomodation, the tour was great but a few things that were not told that the full day was approx 11 hour tour with no bathrooms to access for the whole day. when I asked our tour guide he was really rude saying the wild was the toilet which is fine if we were prepared and brought toilet paper or anything as I had my period and tried to explain to the guide which he just ignored me and said we have no toilets the whole day. our tour guide was also very rude the whole day and you could tell he didn’t want to be there he said he was moving to the Netherlands in 2 months and just had such a bad attitude all day everyone in our group felt it. the rest of the staff were very friendly and very welcoming.

The hosts were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The camp is in a beautiful location, with good installations (great shower!), and amazing food, made by their in-house cook.Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an excellent place to stay.

We absolutely loved our time here! We did the half day jeep tour which was amazing and our guide was great. Back at the camp we enjoyed a delicious dinner with the other guests and guides - all the staff were lovely and they got everyone up and dancing by the end of the night! The facilities were very good for somewhere so remote - clean toilets and a hot shower. We messaged beforehand to check what time we needed to arrive to do the half day tour. Communication was great and we got picked up from the car park in Wadi Rum Village to start the tour - the staff at the carpark called the camp when we arrived and the jeep was there in 10 minutes.

We had an amazing stay at Wadi Run Backpacker Camp! Ibrahim and his family were incredible hosts—they quickly responded to all our questions prior to arrival, organized our ride to the camp (after welcome tea and cookies in Ibrahim’s home) and a fantastic 4-hour desert + sunset Jeep tour, cooked a fantastic dinner and breakfast (including more than enough vegetarian options), and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. Our tent was really comfortable with a good bed and the bathrooms were super nice and clean (we’ve stayed at a desert camp in several other countries and the facilities here were definitely much nicer, which was a pleasant surprise given the very affordable price). After booking, Ibrahim sent us a list of possible desert tour options and we were able to customize one to our timing and priorities, which was great. It was super reasonably priced and our driver was great (and the views were fantastic)! The camp also had a campfire after dark, which made for a nice chill atmosphere for chatting with other guests. Overall a fantastic experience; highly recommended!

Absolute highlight of my trip. Loved every second of it. Our guide was amazing, the Zarb dinner was superb, and the desert is mesmerizing. I had the best time with the other guests. An absolutely wonderful experiance, I want to come again for sure!! 10/10 ?

Everything was just PERFECT. The staff did an EXCELLENT job making sure everyone was enjoying themselves and meeting everyone's need. The jeep tour was well organized and you really get the chance to discover the desert. The food was just so good and so tasteful.I definetely recommend this camp, you won't be disappointed.Special thanks to Ibrahim and Mahmoud who have just been the kindest people.

Absolutely nothing

The host is amazing, everything was great. It was an awesome time staying in Wadi Rum for the night watching the stars and the moon surrounded by sand and rocks;)

The tour is well-organized and they will do everything for you comfort. They arranged taxi transfer for me and they took care about every possible needs i can have, like food intolerance etc. This was far away our best experimce in Jordan, and the most beautifu attraction as well.

A good place to chill and away from city, surrounded by desert nature. The dinner were amazing, cooked under the sand. The jeep tour were top notch. We were happy ! Won't be a mistake to come here

The staff was very warm and welcoming, and went out of their way to make your experience better. They had activities at night around the campfire, and made sure you were warm with a lot of tea. In the day, the jeep tours were well run, and it allowed you to see a part of the beautiful desert.

The rooms can get a little cold at night in November, but you can put on more blankets.

Good location, attentive programme. Clean. There is electricity. You may get an extra blanket, if you ask.

The camp was nicely located, deep in the desert! You couldn't see other camps, and the silence and stars in the night were heartbreaking! The friendly staff prepared good breakfast and a traditional dinner, and in the night they made a campfire! Recommended

The breakfast and dinner was delicious, top notch. A simple camp but way beyond my expectation. Even I come here by myself, I have a great time spending with staff and guests.

We were driven around for about three hours by our brilliant Bedouin guide. We felt so privileged to be in such a beautiful part of the world. Sitting listening to our guide tell us about the desert, and point out incredible sites was amazing. Then he made us Bedouin tea on a camp fire. The camp was well equipped and beyond our expectations, I would love to come back!

Great day in the desert, with over 8 hour jeep excursion, sunset, canyon ride, sandboarding. The stay has a good vibes would definitely come back!

We had a great time! The guides are very friendly and you get to see so much of the beautiful wadi rum! The food and accommodations were amazing as well
