Comfort Aparthotel Besancon La City

It was a simple hotel but it over delivered: helpful staff, comfortable studios, chocolate on pillows upon arrival and nice breakfast with fresh and local products.

Not something I didn't like but pro tip: bring warm socks as the floor in the bedrooms are made of tiles: it gets cold!

Great emplacement! Walking distance to the city. Very practical with the little kitchen corner.

We stated a preference for rooms to be close together during booking but this was not possible - what a pity! And they need to insist on better cleaning in the bathroom.

Excellent location near Chamars park and Canot tram stop. Friendly welcoming reception staff. Easy check in and check out. Nice breakfast area. Pay parking available. Easy walk into the city centre. Good value for money. Nice hot shower.

Not much natural light so the room seemed dark. No cleaning of the room, so after 5 days the floors were very dirty. No cleaning utensils to sweep floors. Bins not emptied so you have to take rubbish to outside bins.

The apartment was very well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. Underground parking. The location was brilliant, a short walk along the picturesque river to the shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

It was on ground floor there was only one large door like window that opens outside. For safety there should be a grill so it could be open in hot weather otherwise it was fine

Great stay on our bicycle trip. Staff were very helpful and kind even though we don’t speak French. There was a place to lock our bicycles underground which was perfect for us.

Rooms are ok. They have a kitchen.

No air conditioning! Rooms are facing a noisy street. We couldn’t sleep all night long.

We just arrived to the hotel and the room we booked wasn't available, so we had to stay in another room with a teammate. And what was even more embarrassing was that we entered a room that was already occupied by someone who was taking a shower.I hereby requested information on when the money will be refunded, given that I did not get the room I paid for. We agreed that they will refund amount for our room that was occupied but nobody even responded to our messages and they never returned money.

5 minutes from the city center. There is a small, fully functional kitchenette in the hallway of the room.

The hotel is exactly how it present itself, very convenient, clean, the lady at the reception was fantastic, the check-in and check-out were extremely fast. The walt to the city is pleasant 10 minutes by the river

Room had a kitchenette, so perfect for people wanting to prepare food for themselves.

Check-in experience was horrible. The hotel has a sign with an outdated name "Zenement" on the door and for the parking space. Nowhere was mentioned that this was the case. So after a long day of driving it took me ages, to figure out where to access the hotel, and where to park my car. As it was a Sunday, the reception closed already at 7pm - which again, wasn't stated on the hotel profile on booking.com. I had received several emails from the property after booking, but not a single one with the access code for the entry, neither with instructions for the safe, that held the room key, etc. I wouldn't even have made it into the hotel, if not for other guests needing to check in at the same time. I tried to call the number referred to on booking.com - which brought me to the reception, that as mentioned was closed. I had a link in my emails to "check in", which only brought me to a page, that stated I was checked in, again without ANY information on how to access my room keys. If it wasn't for the other guests I'd been stranded. This all took me a whole hour! When mentioning this to the staff at check-out the next morning, I felt super disregarded. This is a problem and they didn't want to hear about. It definitely put a huge blow on my stay. Check-in experience -10.

The lady on reception was magnificent: welcoming, friendly, helpful, informative

It seems that the hotel has recently changed hands and is now a Zenitude Hotel. However, the name given by Booking.com was Aparthotel Comfort. This meant that although satnav took us to approximately the right place, there was no matching name to be seen. Very time consuming and very stressful

Good location, free parking, decent breakfast included.. Had a small double room, and whilst bed would have been a bit tight for 2 people, for one it was great and room was bigger than many hotel doubles

I could only get the shower to be luke warm, not hot. Breakfast room was also a bit small for number of guests wanting to use it

Every aspect met our criteria of clean, safe and comfortable at a cost that met our budgetary needs . We will be looking for self catering facilities by this group in future.

Room was spacious and comfortable, staff very helpful, and ideally located.

Parking was tricky, as the underground car park has quite a low height limit for the people carrier we had. Vans will not fit. It appeared to be a case of just finding a bit of scrubland to abandon the car on.Breakfast was limited, and I would recommend just going to a boulangerie instead of having breakfast in the hotel.

Heater in the bathroom had rust , not expensive to either rub it clean or displaceWindow shutters super dirty, not a major issue and I understand the constant dirt from the rain ,but it would be a nice plus to see it a bit clean
