Hôtel du Cheval Blanc - City center

great location, nice staff and good value, clean

so, the room had been smoked in while being non smokingsecond, a night club made the whole building shake the whole night, apparently this is known since long judging from google reviews, yet not mentioned nor resolved

Very nice Location

The electric cord didn’t work beside the the bed and there was no shampoo in the dispenser in the shower.

Very friendly and helpful reception. Wonderful and simple contact via WhatsApp to register and get all the info you need. And a fabulous location with so many restaurants and places to walk to. And, of course, Gruyere with its beautiful castle and cheese is just a few kilometers away. :-)

Loved this place, the lady checking us in was awesome. Great room with Jacuzzi on 3rd floor everything great. Super communication pre arrival too.

A nice area in Bulle city. About 10 -15 minutes walk From the station.its better if first time to have google map to walk from the station to the hotel.Check in was super fast as we did pre check in and no deposits. Room was in the 3rd floor and overlooking faraway mountains . Good view . If going to gruyers ideal place. Very peaceful city less people. The castle is closed. Very clean good size room attic type . Bathroom good. Reception is closed in the evening and no restaurant in the hotel. Suggestion to keep an Iron/board and a microwave for easy access to all customers please.

Few minutes walk from the station, close to restaurants and the town center.Clean room, friendly staffRecommended when visiting Gruyere region

Overlooking a somewhat busy road, can be noisy at times with the window open.

Disappointing

There is a nightclub located right below the hotel. The music was unbearably loud and kept us from sleeping until 5 in the morning. No one informed us about this situation."

Check in was smooth and personnel was very pleasant and accommodating. Room and bathroom were very clean. We had asked for two separate single beds and it was all set up as per the request. The price was more than reasonable. Location was perfect.

Everything. The reception, checkin, checkout and the room ambience. The hotel host were very considerate to offer umbrellas due to rains. Very empathetic team. My go to place in Bulle. Excellent selection of tea. I loved it.

Nothing specific.

The place was nice and clean, well located. The person at the reception was friendly.

We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night. There's a dancing in the ground of the building, and there's a bar very close, both open until late at night. So it was quite noisy and we had to keep the window closed. Nevertheless although we were at the 3rd floor one we could still hear the sound from the dancing vibrating through the walls.

Welcoming staff and superb location. The room is efficient and clean, with coffee machine that comes super handy.

The room and hotel was nice and comfortable

There was quite some miscommunication. We were informed that breakfast is at a partner's place. We went there and were served a specific menu. But then also charged for the breakfast at the end. It doesn't make ANY sense. If I had to pay for my breakfast, why would I go to that specific place and eat that specific menu. I could have gone anywhere better. It would be better to not trick the guests into this partner's place from the future.

Very clean and comfortable accommodation with great beds and coffee machine.

It’s above a nightclub so there was music thumping all night and an AC unit from restaurant super loud outside also. As a light sleeper this made it very hard to sleep so just come prepared for that.

Very welcoming and supportive staff. Excellent location, spotless clean and very well-maintained facility. Very close to all amenities in Bulle.

Our room was large and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the staff was extremely courteous. The hotel is located close to the center of a lovely old city. We enjoyed walking around and unexpectedly there was a street market in the morning. Parking was available right outside and it was free. I can recommend staying here and I would be happy to stay again.

Staff were friendly, rooms were comfy and warm , central location

Spacious, easy to access, didn't see the staff because we came late but they let us check in without seeing anyone. Was very practical. Free parking, too.

I loved the warmth and coziness of the room. The staff were wonderful. They recommended restaurants, activities, transportation, and they were abdolutely helpful and welcoming! The room had an absolutely stunning view, and the breakfast at the partner bakery and Café was delicious! Thank you!

The fact that we couldn't stay longer ??

room was big, very nice coffee from the coffee machine. Bed was comfortable.

Reception staff very cold and clinical in attitude, in my opinion.. I did not feel relaxed at all in case I did something wrong and get told off !!.You can here hotel guests and cleaning staff talking in the corridor whilst in your room. Some leaving the hotel around 5 am in the morning, I had a very disturbed sleep with all the comings and goings in the corridor, whilst I tried to sleep. The pillows were too soft.

Our rooms were clean and comfortable, with decent bathrooms, and the staff were helpful. It had been unclear before we arrived where exactly our accommodation would be located but it turned out to be very central. It was also excellent value for money.

The room key my friend was given on checking in would not work and it took a while before the staff were able to provide her with one that did, which was frustrating. However, they gave her a box of chocolates by way of apology!
