ibis Bulle - La Gruyère

We paid for two nights...

When we checked in, our room was freezing even with our coats on. We informed the front desk and were told basically there was nothing she could do and the temperature would take a while to heat up. Two hours later, when we went to dinner in town it was still freezing. When we got back it was finally warm and through the night became uncomfortably warm.The breakfast buffet (additional charge) was very skimpy (but the coffee was great).The location was right on the edge of town so no other options nearby. We were there to see the cows return from the Alps in a nearby town and the staff had basically no information about it.

Had difficulty getting laundry done. Only one machine. Was being used and after waiting, the dryer never worked, had to hang all our laundry to dry in the room

Nothing, everything was bad. Given Information about the hotel was not clear and misleading. Actually it was not a hotel.

My room was quiet but the second one onto the road not so much. Breakfast buffet not replenished often enough on our visit.

What can we say about ibis hotels, clean and sober franchise, decent personel, clean rooms with proper bathroom, good breakfast, close to the centre.

Maybe a thin bedsheet on the side? because the available cover was way too warm for the spring weather...

I was not informed that there would be a 20.- francs per day additional charge when I booked and it was requested when I arrived. That was not a good surprise!Would have been nice to have a kettle or hot water available for tea.

A nice hotel in a very convenient, quiet location but with enough shopping possibilieties nearby. Large parking lot. Nice room with a very comfy bed. Breakfast buffet had very limited options.
