Campanile Dijon Nord - Toison d'Or Hotel

This hotel was a perfect stop off for us. It was clean, warm and comfortable. Great breakfast and delicious evening meal. Free entry to huge gym next door was a big plus for our teenage kids. Friendly staff, we would definitely go back.

It was clean but did find some hairs here and there. But no dirt or dust.

Evening meal was poor and not what I asked for and very expensive the waitress was unsure of anything and couldn’t communicate in English no television

Staff were young, very relaxed and welcoming and above all natural. No fake smiles. Nothing overdone or underdone.Breakfast was very good. Espresso coffee from beans, other coffee drinks from instant grains.Croissants, cheeses, yogurts, eggs you place into baskets and lower into the hot water to boil, soft or hard -- on a warmly illuminated self-service island, in a pleasant dining room with windows all around and no echoing chatter thanks to the open doors onto a small garden.Very close to the northern edge of of Dijon. Tucked away, but easy to find; latitude and longitude coordinates took us straight there. Travelling from Bodensee to Lille, that northern edge was ideal for an overnight rest.Basically a motel with restaurant next door. Absolutely quiet at night. Very good sleep.

1. There could have been hooks on the bathroom wall to hang up clothes while showering. Very easy to do, hard to overlook (how could they have missed such a simple thing?)2. Avoid the beer and the plat du jour unless you like paying 7 euros for a draft Heineken (half litre) and 17 euros for an ordinary hamburger or 13 euros for a small 'fish' with chips (French fries) in a basket fit for a handful of pencils. They were snacks, not meals, and overpriced indeed.

This is a great basic, cheap and cheerful hotel if you're using it for 1 night as a stop gap on your journey.

Clean room, good breakfast, good location

Perfect for an overnight stay, comfortable bed and good bathroom. Restaurant had very good food.

Staff were excellent, the restaurant was open and serving proper food not just snacks, we had a great meal and felt like wanted customers. Room was clean and functional.

Quite a lot of construction work going on but it didn't really impact our stay.

We arrived and we could not get a drink at the bar. They only have license you eat with a drink. Staff not that helpful and a smile would not go a miss. Room was comfortable for 1 night.

One of our group needed up with bites from her bed. She was in a twin room her friend did not suffer. So we assume the bed she was in is infected

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great. Very convenient for shopping and eating out easy access to/from the motorway system.

This is more of a motel than a hotel so don't expect 5-star facilities.

We have stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions when we drive to the alps for skiing. It makes the perfect stop off, located near to the main routes and not far from Dijon. The staff are always welcoming, you get a nice, warm room with comfy bedsa dn a decent shower. We love to have an evening meal at the onsite restaurant and find the food to be excellent. The waiting staff were incredible and informed us of a local bison dish that my husband loved. They amended some portion sizes for my son and we had a great sleep before out drive onwards the next day. Breakfast is well worth it. A fantastic choice for everyone. thanks for another great stay

Rooms on separate buildings to reception and restaurant and look tired but very comfortable either way blackout blinds. Restaurant had simple but delicious food at reasonable cost
