Close to centre
We were on the 4th floor, ceilings are sloped. Rooms are tiny and claustrophobic. My daughter had bed bugs all over her bed! Complained to reception who came up and confirmed they were bed bugs. She was moved to the first floor but put opposite laundry room so was woken up at 7am by cleaners chatting.
AC not working on a hot day.
Staff were annoyed when we told them AC was not working. A male staff was helpful but one of the female staff was unpleasant to deal with
Excellent breakfast, climate control in room worked well, nice bathroom and good to have a desk. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
There was a wifi problem in the evening but they seemed to have reset the service so it was working when I awoke at 5AM.
The breakfast and location. You will get 50% off ticket for the parking at the central bus station nearby.
The room is kinda noisy ;-(
The staff was very polite and friendly, and they spoke English very well. If not for them, I would rate the hotel lower, but I want to pay respect to their work, as they do they job very well.
The biggest issue was lack of any noise isolation between the rooms. There was literally a door in the wall ( locked, but still) so I could hear everything. And the couple in the room next to mine was very loud at night - if you know what I mean - and literally banging at this door too. I slept 4 hours in total at night thanks to them as they also woke me up in the morning. Akward, annoying, and innapropriate for a hotel which for me ( Campanile, as a chain) should be a high quality hotel - in my country 3 star hotels ( as it's written at the hotel entrance) are usually modern and they take care of such details as noise suppresion. Moreover, the room was incredibly ugly - there's no other word for it - lamps that should be in a rubbish bin decades ago, carpet floor ( which probably houses tones of bacteria), and an old bathtub in the bathroom ( who even uses bathtubs in the hotels anymore, it's so unhygenic). The breakfast was all right but the coffee was terrible ( though, I had never had a good coffee in France ) and the cutlery was dirty. I also didn't like it that people took baguettes to cut in their hands and later put them back - there should be some way to avoid eating food touched by dozens of hotel guests before.
Great location - close to train, restaurants and storesStephanie at the front desk was particularly helpful.
The carpet in the rooms and hallways is DISGUSTING. My husband would have left if he could.
Location
We had a shocking and deeply disappointing stay at Hôtel Restaurant Campanile Dijon Centre. After a 6-hour drive with our wheelchair-user daughter, we were given the wrong room — dirty, with blood-stained beds. Then we were sent to another room already occupied by a guest who screamed when we walked in. Finally, we were moved to a room with only a double bed — completely unsuitable for three people. It was also extremely noisy due to shouting and drunk guests outside. To make things worse, in the morning, two strangers opened our door after reception gave them access to our room. We received no apology or compensation from the staff, including shift manager Letitia. We booked a triple room and ended up sleeping uncomfortably, stressed, and feeling unsafe. This is completely unacceptable. I am requesting a full refund for this disgraceful experience.
Excellent location within a few minutes walk from the train station. Quiet comfortable room.
Spacious and cleanliness.
The day staff was nice. But I had an incident at the night which made be quite uneasy. I went to get some food after 12 PM and when I cameback, the sliding door didn't open automatically (I guess they do it for security reasons). So I asked someone inside to open it for me, the staff worken came to the door, asked my name and room number and only after verifying - she opened the door for me. It all seems normal and personally I don't mind this check as it is for the security of the site. The thing that bothered was that there was another person at the door whom I saw while I was walking towards the hotel and they opened the door for him without any verification. So was I being singled out, I think yes and no one likes to find themselves in such situations ever as they ruin your whole experience.
I was was charged twice on the 11 February. Struggling to get a refund. After many phone calls I’m now going apply for a
the room was adequate. reception staff were friendly.
the parking experience was terrible. we asked at reception several times about how to get a discounted voucher for the parking at nearby station. in the event the voucher didn't work , and also we were charged twice costing 24.80 euro rather than th 8e euro we were told by reception staff. when we complained we were told to speak to the station operator (even though we live in the UK ) and the station is right next to the hotel . not pleased with the service level at all. food was below average . despite being promised hot food , at 8am all the hot food wasn't available as all finished
It was a perfect location and comfortable place to stay a night near the railway station.
Location perfect for a lads trips
Light in bathroom hard to find
Your hotel has a fantastic location, conveniently situated in the city center and near the train station. The surrounding area offers a wide range of facilities, including many restaurants and shopping centers.
I experienced some issues with the Receptionist that significantly impacted our experience. The Receptionist displayed unprofessional and prejudiced behaviour, speaking to me in a harsh and dismissive tone. This left me feeling uncomfortable and disrespected.
Within walking distance of old town. Very convenient for transport and train station.
The location is great.
The hotel charged me twice, once on my card and again in cash. They assured me they would refund the extra payment but never did. When I tried reaching out again, I received no response.
Wonderful hotel! Just in front of the train station, huge room, very friendly staff, best breakfast I’ve ever had in a European hotel, breakfast started at 5 am (I had a train at 6am, this was really a big plus!). I would stay there again
It was a bit pricy, I wish they a cheaper option for solo travelers
