    • Location was excellent, 3 min away from old center. The manager was extremenly welcoming to me and my family! Gave all the tips about the city and helped us when we needed. The room was extremely clean!! This is super important to us!Bed was also very comfortable.
    • The location was good, the staff very friendly
    • Staff were friendly. This is a budget hotel so you get what you pay for. The room was adequate for a one night stay. Breakfast was good. The young lady manning the breakfast was lovely.

    Cons -

    • The heating was not working very well. Took us some time to get it working. Then it was either too hot or too cold. The price for the night was also on the high side.
    • There is a bit of a walk to get to shopping and restaurants. Parking is anywhere you can find a spot on the street. But we knew this when we booked the room.
    • The facilities are in an older building. No elevator on the premises. If the visitor has either a lot of luggage, or has challenges walking, then the visitor must ensure one books the ground floor rooms.

The location is acceptable. The front desk staff is very commendable. Good for the money.

This hotel is very rundown and outdated. I thought it would be a step up from IBIS but it was actually a step down. Do not recommend.

Overall Place was unkept and rundown. No shampoo or soap in the bathroom.

Clean. Safe. Quiet. Slept three people comfortably. Good bathroom. Parked on street around the corner for very cheap. Lovely staff. A/c was fine. Breakfast was fine - simple continental, but not a huge variety and a fair price.

About a 20 minute walk into the town. No elevator, had to lug bags up three flights of stairs. No coffee in room. No Wi-Fi in room. No places to eat in the immediate vicinity.

Hotel Montchapet Dijon Centre is excellently located near both the train station and within easy walking distance from Dijon Centre which makes it an ideal location for any traveler. There is a Utile on the same street for groceries and essentials and one can easily breakfast and enjoy every morning in the nearby Jardin Darcy before exploring the city. Room was very comfortable, well air conditioned, and had mechanized shutters on the windows for security. My view was street side with pleasant greenery planted outside to maintain privacy. The concierge was very welcoming and helpful, providing me with a map of the Owl Trail and allowing me to practice my French. I'm very happy to have had such a pleasant stay in Dijon and the Hotel Montchapet definitely contributed to my favorable first impression of the city. I would recommend both the city and this lovely hotel to any traveler.

Tiny clean room . Good breakfast. 10-15 min walking to the center . Good for short stays.

    Ok.

Transport from rail station to hotel and hours transport from hotel to airport. Morning, last bus from hotel at 08.45, but hotel day will finish later.

Excellent location near the historical centre of Dijon. The team at the hotel were super helpful and offered excellent advice on what to see and where to eat in the city. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

No mini-fridge in the room, but the hosts were kind enough to let me keep some perishable goods in their fridge. The room was a bit on the small side for a family of 2 adults and two kids.

The location is excellent. The rooms and the breakfast area are quite new and comfortable, good beds. The price is fair and I would stay there again.

The staff has the bad habit of saying "I told you this yesterday, I already gave you this info." Not only to my family, but to other costumers as well. That's rude and the costumer has the right to ask twice for an information, no reason for impatience. The breakfast is very basic, with no warm and salty option, and no fresh fruit. For 12euro I'm France, that could be improved.

Very comfortable bed, had best sleep of the whole holidays. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of Dijon to provide us information on where/what to do.

Nothing. I’ve just appreciated the clean bed sheets. That’s it.

The rooms are extremely small and smelly. And we were quite cold. We’ve put the air-con on but for some reason, the room still stayed cold and i couldn’t sleep because of the noise it was making. We didn’t interact with any staff as we’ve arrived very late in the night and left early in the morning.

We were met well at reception. We were given a map and were told of places of interest. The room was an average size. It was in a good location for town.

There is no lift and therefore we had to carry quite a few bags up a couple of flights of stairs. We struggled for hot water upon arrival mid afternoon and before we left, early morning (6.30am)

We initially booked a one night stop over on the way to the Alps, but we liked the hotel so much, we booked another night for the way home. We had 2 different triple rooms for our 2 nights. Both rooms were clean, spacious and beds were very comfortable. Good showers. Breakfast was good value. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is just a short walk away from Dijon centre.

Not a dislike as it was fine, but worth mentioning: the hotel only has paid for on street parking. We had a car full of ski equipment so the hotel recommended that we parked in a nearby underground car park. This was fine with us. It was just a short walk to the hotel and the underground parking was very good value - just €6 from 5pm overnight till 8am ish.

The employee at the reception was amazing, so friendly and chatty and welcoming. It's worth coming to this hotel just to meet him!!

I received a room with a small window to an outside passage / staircase, there were people walking there constantly in the morning and I had to keep the curtain closed because if not those people would see me in bed. Therefore it was very dark in the room, no daylight, nothing.

The location is great, the owners & front desk most charming & helpful & the rooms are clean.

    8RichardPosted on: 9-20-2024

    Simple and quiet location

Limited hot water for shower during morning busy time. Great if you are early but not much hot for a late morning shower.

    10BarbaraPosted on: 9-8-2024

Simple property, with everything one need. Great location, walking distance to the park and town. Super friendly staff, clean facility.

The lack of elevator could be an issue for some. Otherwise everything was perfect.
