Great staff, clean room, and quite close to the city centre.

- Terrible sound insulation - we could hear every step of our neighbour's morning routine. Some sounds travelled perfectly trough the concrete so that each time the neighbours' toilet was flushed or the shower drain was touched, we heard it as if we were in the bathroom with them. It's a big structural flaw for a space designed for sleep; the night was short. The owners must know about the problem, since earplugs were placed on our table. - The interiors look like a dentist's practice: white walls everywhere and few warm finishes. It's a shame since it must've been refurbished quite recently. - Better options available at similar prices : the Beaulac at least has nice views and practically identical prices (and it's a 4 star). A relatively small premium gets you La Maison du Prussien with incredible interiors and a good restaurant. I haven't tried them, but I will if I ever come back to Neuchatel. - I just don't see how the 8.5 is justified at these prices: maybe the competition is limited. I just thought it would be good to know.

The staff is superfriendly. Because the hotel was fairly empty they upgraded me to a much larger room. The rooms are not hypermodern, but extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hotel provides courtesy earplugs, but as I was staying on a colder day there was very little noise from outside. The bathrooms seemed fairly new and the room as a whole was immaculately kept. It included a coffee maker and minifridge. The location is amazing as well. The breakfast bar is a restaurant at night with local beers on tap and very fairly priced food.

The breakfast is perfectly fine if it is included in your rate (it was for me). I would not pay for it separately though, as it is mostly prepackaged/pre-prepared items.

Super friendly team at the reception! Location in the heart of Neuchatel close to everything. Comfy rooms. Highly recommend.

The hotel actually exceeded my expectations! I was upgraded to a double room and it was spacious, very clean, and cozy. Hotel is in a great location. Staff was super nice and friendly! Would recommend without hesitation.

Friendly staff, great location that was close to station and centre and lake, clean room and felt like a bedroom. Coffee machine available in room with a selection of tea, coffee and a welcome biscuit.

Very odd layout of the shower which was separate from the toilet+sink and was located opposite the bed. Very hard to use sink tap, and some areas like main bathroom, window, and ‘wardrobe/storage’ definitely need better refurbishing. Very poor soundproofing, can hear everything on the corridor and when other people opened their doors it sounded like they were trying to open mine. Not sure how daily cleaning service worked as no one came to clean my room after I put up the sign

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, spacious room.

The pillows were bad, big but providing no support. The breakfast was ok but the coffee was very bad — luckily there was an espresso machine in the room. The ventilation also wasn’t great, so got stuffy over night.

We really liked the central location of this hotel. Friendly staff. Large comfortable room at the back (therefore quiet), with a small balcony. Breakfast seemed expensive, but was excellent.

Lounge consisted of a very small seating area at reception.

The initial welcome by the staff was very thorough. Although there was no parking at the hotel itself the large car park at the end of the street was available and only 10 Swiss francs for the two days. The room was a very good size and well equipped. The hotel was convenient for the town centre and the train station. The cost was on the high side, breakfast being another 16 sfr pppn. The bar/restaurant next door B'art was really good but either get there before 7pm or book.

The location was perfect to go and see the old town, the lake and for transport links.

It was conveniently located near the city center, and well connected to HB and other buses.It offered a guest ticket that allowed for many free activities (including the travel to and from).

It was a bit too warm in the room.

Rooms are clean and well furnished. I appreciated the Nespresso coffee machine and overall the good level of the room. The staff is very friendly and open to help. The hotel is in a strategic position, close to city centre of Neuchatel.

My room was under the roof. Appreciated the presence of a portable air conditioner, but window had to remain open with significant noise coming from the street.

Convenient location. Walking distance to the center of town. Large room and clean. Easy parking nearby for chf10/day.

Breakfast was too expensive for what was offered. Quite noisy. I could hear everything outside my room and also noise on the street.
