- Very nicely located, spotless clean and very comfortable room. Bed was extra comfy.
Cons -
- While I reserved a premium double twin room with City View on Booking.com, the hotel informed me that this category of room comes with courtyard view only, because it’s more quiet. They said that Booking.com has it wrongly specified in their selection and that they will inform them.
- place around is not really special, there is no active life in center of Biel.
- Wifi was down until later in the evening. Cheap & rough brown toilet paper (I mean there are better recycled options out there!). Not one but TWO pubic hairs clear to see on the floor of the shower :-o No slippers, but socks provided (weird). City view is misleading, it's just an ugly outlook onto a big space & graffiti nightclub (which we could here in the early hours). Now it makes sense why in the photos on the website, the curtains were drawn..Honestly, I thought paying more than the courtyard view, which had a balcony, (we didn't) - meant we got the better room - Superior King with city view - don't be fooled! The courtyard view looked more desirable than what we had.Very disappointing stay, & for a hotel only built two years ago - apparently a 4 star hotel! Nothing about it convinced us. Oh & the TV said Netflix & Youtube was available - it isn't, even asked reception. Jeez, more like built in the 90s! Sorry.

The bed was comfortable (but had 2 hard nobbly things in the middle - half way down the mattress, & at the foot of it!), & the coffee provided was very nice :)

Lovely hotel, seemingly newly decorated, with a good size room. Helpful staff, a good breakfast and a free drink upon check-in. Good location in terms of proximity to the centre.
Our room gave on to a rather unsightly night club, from which we could hear the base from the music throughout the night. Even with the windows closed we could hear it until 5 am.
The hotel seems to be renovated recently, everything in the room or floors is new , comfortable and cosy. The breakfast was even served on sunday at 6:30, wich was very important for us. There was everything you need including fruits and bakery..The management was friendly and compenent, even gave me a charger for my phone. The bed , blankets pillows and the matrass -läjust perfect! It was also very clean. Im very impressed and will for sure come again.
Room service ist overpriced
Perfect location, near center with lots of shops and restaurants. Hotel is very close to the train station.Breakfast was very good.Room very clean, comfortable and modern
Breakfast and the design
Heating did not work. Blinds went down and got not move those up again. Hotel was not busy, so why would you place me a room right by the night club seeing the garbage bails? Asked staff to help me with the blinds and only at around 9am those went up by it self??? Staff couldn’t help
Location is great!
We had to walk the dog during the night and we got looked out of the property. We tried to ring the doorbell and call multiple times but nobody openend. We were only able to go back inside because one of our family members started looking for as after an hour.
Nice hotel, close to ice skating rink, and within walking distance from the train station (about two blocks). Simple but good breakfast is available as well.
The hotel is in a pretty good location. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was perfectly cleaned and all the space around was sterilely cleaned. No noise bothered us. The room has everything you need: hair dryer, iron, ironing board, coffee, tea, mirrors.
Check out can be before 12 noon, however, cleaning knocked on my door at 9am when I was still asleep, despite the fact that I had put a "do not disturb, I am sleeping" sign on my door. This happened several times in one morning.
Gorgeous room decor, loved the spotless modern bathroom, super comfortable. Got a parking space right behind the hotel in one of its 6 private spaces for CHF18 per night.
Not the Marriott’s fault but the immediate location all around the hotel felt a bit unsafe even during the day. There was a nightclub right outside the front door. Was not a comfortable stay for this reason.
Hotel is not far from the train station - 10 mins walk. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel restaurant wa
The hotel was new and everything was modern. Very quiet and great location.
There were a lot of hairs on the bed, maybe from the cleaning staff or from the sheets.
Very new and tasteful, great location in central town. Very kind and helpful staffDefinitely to recommend
Not enough parking from the hotel so we had to pay too much for parking at the public parking garage
The blinds on the outside of the building kept closing, letting no light into the room. There was a water leak from the air conditioner which landed on our luggage, getting our clothing wet. The television did not work properly. The hotel staff finally unplugged the tv. Our room was not ready when we checked in at 3:20 pm and after waiting for some time we were given a handicapped room, which is not very convenient, especially in the bathroom. I would definitely not recommend this hotel.
Very comfortable room and bed. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Although you gave us a room away from the lift (as requested), we did hear some people return to their room at 04.00 in the morning. Also, anyone speaking in the courtyard can be heard due to the surround echo. We had to sleep with our windows shut due to this. Perhaps some big plants in the courtyard would help and would also look nice!
The hotel is conveniently located in the newer part of the town, within walking distance to the railway station and the old town. There are a few restaurants nearby and so is a grocery shop. The hotel is new and is located in a long building constructed along the Esplanade (it looks like an empty platform for some events, not too appealing, actually) and next to the Coupole music club (it somehow doesn't fit to the hotel building and flats, but it was constructed much earlier). Also nearby is a congress centre originating from 1960s.Rooms are reasonably sized and confortable. Our room had a small balcony facing the Esplanade, but it was too hot outside to actually use it. Breakfasts are served in a restaurant on the ground floor. The selection of food was OK with little if any changes from day to day.
Only one for the two elevators go to the 5th and 6th floor and there is a different procedure to access these (you have to call the elevator with the A button and then use the hotel card to select 5 or 6 - not needed for lower floors). According to Swiss regulations, air-conditioning should apparently not be set to below 25 C. This is essentially what was written - in a too long text to read - in the elevator. In our room, temperature was between 26 and 27.5 C for the first three days. On the second day I complained at the reception about the AC (all I could set was time and day) and apparently they sent someone to repair this, but it was actually working only until we first opened the balcony door. It didn't start again for the next two days although outside temperatures were >30 C. Then, on day 3, our room was not cleaned and towels were not changed (no, we didn't hang the 'do not disturb' sign on the door). In the evening, as we returned from an excursion, the receptionist said room service was not available (since mid- afternoon, I believe), so she had to bring a couple of fresh towels to our room. The strangest of all was that already on the first day of our stay I received an e-mail from Marriott central reservation system that my reservation was cancelled. I tried to find out what was going on and the Marriott customer support automatically replied that I can expect a feedback within the next 7 days :) The receptioninst however said that 'in the system everything seems OK' and that I don't need to worry. Well, on the next day the Marriott customer support reached back with a notice that they are contacting the hotel to inquire, but I got no further explanation from them. Upon check-out the receptionist kindly informed me that 'the system' requested that 40 CHF (approx. 4.5% of the bill) are returned to my credit card, without explaining why. Of course I did not complain.
The hotel is excellent, completely new
There is no parking space for the cars.Would be good if the hotel could rent some spaces for the clients in the parking in front
It was clean and the staff was friendly
The a/c problem we had to bring a fan and still it was hot and we didn’t sleep good at night .There was also a parking problem the parking hotel was limited 5 cars only and the public parking was a bit far and expensive as it was 25 frank per day. And also we couldn’t find the entrance of the hotel so we had to walk and carry our bags . I wouldn’t come again or recommend it for someone .
