Rimtarn Resort Mae Hong Son

Mae Hong Son is a beautiful town worth exploring for a few days. Rimtarn Resort was a lovely hotel with great customer service from Tim and her staff.

Spotlessly clean hotel with well-maintenancd gardens in a quiet neighbourhood a short walk into town.Helpful, quietly efficient team.Felt like an old style Alpine resort hotel with lots of old, polished wood furniture, plain walls, unchipped tile floors, etc.Rooms had fridge and kettle; tv; decent shower; chair & thoughtful lighting.Good breakfast choices.Easy parking

It’s hard to fault for the price, but instant coffee only for breakfast. What’s the world coming to?!

Good location, you get exactly what is described when booking - Motel style accommodation ol to a one night stay over.

The breakfast buffet is average but was surprising that it doesn’t get refilled. Some dishes already not available at 8.00 am. VERY disappointed that I received no communication at all after requesting a change in dates, we requested a reduction in nights of stay on arrival, which was made in person (talked to the in-charge manager twice) and via booking.com - no response, no acknowledgment, obviously no refund - just ignored the request, in-house manager said that it will be managed via booking.com. Didn’t happen. Very disappointed, worst customer service experience during our Thailand trip.

Staff very helpful with everything. The manager speaks good English which is such a bonus in this area. Room was spacious

Room a bit old and plain, needs modernising.

Easy to find, car park, rooms a good size, they let us into the room even before checking in as we had bags from the motorbike so made it easier rather than carrying them to reception and back again. Free breakfast included that was made fresh rather than buffet and only one other couple at breakfast

The best place to stay in Mae Hong Son, feels like home. Really cozy and spacious room. Friendly and welcoming staff, who provide you with any help ! The territory of this resort is wonderful where you can get relaxed. We will definitely visit this resort next year. Thank you so much!

Beautiful place surrounded by trees. Large room, hot shower, lovely breakfast of fruits, salad, eggs, toast etc etc.EVERYTHING worked. The manager was very helpful. Offered us a shuttle service. Walking distance to the town centre.

The staff are very nice and friendly. We had a lot of help from them arranging day trips and transportation to move on to Chiang Mai. The breakfast is very good with a great selection of Thai food. The room we had was basic but very big and clean.

No restaurant in the hotel for lunch or dinner and nothing open nearby for lunch.

The room was big and clean and the garden was very nice. The staff was friendly.

The rooms need some renovation, and also, maybe, some furniture. The bathroom was pretty old too. The bed was not comfortable. They didn’t give us soap, but shower gel and shampoo yes.

A resort set in beautiful gardens. Nice to sit in the garden and enjoy. Room spacious enough. Shower and toilet immaculate..staff full of smiles and so helpful. Very enjoyable stay for two nights.

Difficult to find fault but a bar would be a welcome addition!

Not much that I liked.

Far away from any restaurants, the hotel only offered a simple breakfast. The aircon didn’t work so I had to change rooms after unpacking which was troublesome and no offer of help by the staff who watched me move. Bathroom smelt of sewerage…Wouldn’t recommend this place as it’s worse than a cheap motel.
