Hotel Olten Swiss Quality

The staff were just excellent all around. Hotel employee at the front desk is a treasure. There was a small issue with the A/C and they attended to it immediately and gave me options for what remedy worked best for me. Great experience.

The location was excellent. Each night we crossed the covered bridge and strolled through old town. The staff was very helpful. Everyone’s English was excellent. The morning breakfast was delicious. I appreciated the coupon for discounted parking. The sound proofing was excellent. If our windows were open we could hear the trains. I even liked that sound! Our friend asked for ice and they brought her an entire mini fridge!

There was nothing I didn’t like.

I could never get the wifi to work with the directions i received. The big towels in the bathroom were so old they felt like sandpaper. The parking cost for one day was 22 CHF and that was after a 30% coupon. A little overboard in my opinion.

Close to the station.Got there late; key in a keybox. Left early (Sunday); no one around.

Breakfast on Sundays starts at 08:00. Be warned!Also: arrived late, left early. Saw no one. Was then hounded by email for the 2.- city tax. They could have charged directly.

It’s practical because of its location next to the train station. The reception was closed when I was arrive so they managed to leave me a key in a box, very well organised. To get to the hotel, I went through an underpass and young men were sitting there smoking. They told me something I didn’t understand, and being alone in the evening I felt a bit unease. I think there is another way around to get there, so I guess it’s better to use that way if you prefer. However, I’m sure it’s secure still !Room was spacious, but the furniture in quite bad condition. Not super clean. Still comfortable.At the end, ok for the price I paid.

The hotel was located very near to the railway station and overlooked the railway. The staff at the reception and in the breakfast room were very helpful and friendly and the choice of food was excellent.

The television in the room did not play any UK stations except BBC World news.

I think the breakfast was fine as I recall. The room was brilliant. As an Eisenbahnfreund I had asked the extremely helpful receptionist if we could have a room overlooking the railway. She changed our allocated room for us.

Toilet room 306 was broken, flushing has no water. This happened on Saturday night, which has one staff. Couldn’t change the room, but slightly open unoccupied room next door to use their toilet. I understand the situation, but still disappointed with room quality.

The hotel closed at train station and tracking . if open the window, big noisy but when windows close, they are well soundsproofing .

The location was perfect, the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent.

The electric adaptor I had was unusable, and I was disappointed there were no USB points in the room.

Great hotel - a huge room and easy access to town. Breakfast was full and a good choice for all.

Extremely difficult to get on to WiFi. My fellow traveller had to give up and I needed to contact his home for safe arrival. Beware of traffic and train noise from early morning.

Helpful staff, very nice bedroom, central position but really quiet, lots of variety for breakfast. Overall, a great bargain!

We were traveling with 2 pets and the hotel was kind enough to let them both stay in our room. They were also understanding when we arrived later than expected due to heavy traffic. Breakfast had hot and cold items. Comfortable and clean.

Not much

The rooms are too small and the hotel in general not clean. It is rated 4 star hotel but in reality it is only 1 star.

What I liked most about is location, breakfast

Hotel does not provide the facilities which are mentioned in the booking like for example: water heating kettle and parking garage meant 20 euros per day paid parking but not the free parking

Very comfortable hotel. Clean, comfy beds and shower, coffee machine in the room, good breakfast..walking distance from the centre.

The hotel being a short walk from the train station was a bonus. The check in was easy with a friendly member of staff.The breakfast was good with the usual assortment of items for a continental breakfast.

No light switch by the door, nearest one was b the bed, not a problem during my stay as it was summer, but can see it being a problem if it was dark.Otherwise nothing to dislike.

Practical for a meeting at the hotel. Impeccably clean. Very quiet. Large room. Comfortable bed. Excellent staff.
