Hotel Bayerischer Hof

Neat property right on the main harbor, and across the street from the train station. Was the last property available in area, but we were glad we stayed there, and would again in a heartbeat!

Staff was great. We had dinner in the restaurant, it was wonderful.

The hotel was empty (we were in the lowest season), and we didn't get a view. But..we didn't pay for it, either.

Spectacular location. Spacious junior suite. High quality design.

The lighting was too bright; should have dimers. The food was good, but not excellent.

The stepped entrance to the hotel, although lovely, is not easy for individuals with difficulty walking, particularly with luggage. There is no handrail available - only on the far sides with plants in front of them. Since there is no doorman, it is really difficult to manage.It would be easy to install 1 - 2 additional handrails approaching the door matching the existing, inconvenient handrails

Location was perfect. Parking was available for additional fee.

Restaurant was closed on Sunday & Monday for dinner.

One bed was too hard and had a depression.The female night clerk was impolite.(All the other staff were efficient, helpful, and friendly).

The hotel location is great - with fantastic view of the bay. The rooms are dated but nice and clean - with comfortable beds.

AC did not work, after calling reception it was turned on - but without any possibility of controlling it from the room.Later on when we contacted reception again and we're told that AC had been switched off at 11pm - while looking at ours going full blast - hotel was unable to help until morning, making for a very uncomfortable night with the noise from the AC.At check-in we got no help with luggage or parking.

The restaurant was staff were rude and not helpful We were pointed to a tables and after 10 minutes had to ask for menus the a further 10 mins and still no one came out to ask us gor a drinks order so I walked out not the fine dining experience I wad expecting.All the waiter seem to be interested in wsd arguing with the couple behind us.Worst restaurant I have been to in a hotel.

Classic hotel on the lakeside. Hotel reception area was very nice, the rooms very clean & comfortable but felt slight outdated. Pool area was nice & we enjoyed sitting out in the garden, but didn’t see a member of staff to order drinks. For a 5 star hotel I would have expected the staff to offer to take our luggage to our room. Parking was good & secure.

This comfortable, traditional style hotel is in position A on the busy harbour - ideal for people- and boat-watching, not least from the elevated restaurant and Corner Cafe. The food was excellent, and room maintenance exemplary. The hotel, with its boat and rail connections is ideal as a base to explore the Bodensee, Liechtenstein and also the Schubertiade at Hohenems/Schwarzenberg and Bregenzer Festspiele (there is a direct shuttle from the harbour at Lindau to the Seebuhne at Bregenz on opera nights).

Excellent location in the harbour. High quality old school hotel with fantastic service. Good beds and relatively large room with harbour view. Destination charging available. Indoor and outdoor pool.
