I was amazed by the hotel facilities, its location and the friendliness of the staff. Mr. Hübner was not only friendly, but he also did everything he could to accommodate my check in and check out needs. There are many little details in the room to make you feel at home and the location is just perfect. I would recommend and definitely stay again.

Great location to walk everywhere

We have been traveling in Europe for a few weeks. This has to be the nicest room we’ve stayed in-almost like a honeymoon suite. It’s spacious, clean, lovely decorated, with all the extra amenities you may need -even robes and flip flops! You can add breakfast on for an extra 18 euros per person. We chose to check out a local bakery instead, but I heard breakfast here is excellent. The staff are friendly (they speak very clear English) and this charming Bavarian town is fun to explore. You can also hop on a 10 minute train to Austria and take a gondola up to see the amazing views of Lake Constance!

The breakfast was very good and the family who run the hotel were very warm and helped in making us comfortable. Its very well located within walking distance of restuarants and yet quiet and away from the crowds

The location was very nice on the bay side of the island. The room was very comfortable. The place was very clean and well kept.

The island itself was off-season. That had both good and bad effects. Lots of restaurants and places closed early, but on the other hand it wasn't crowded.

The hotel is charming and spotlessly clean. The rooms are quiet and extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend Hotel Alte Schule, the location is excellent with lots of places to eat and lanes to wonder through.

Our hosts were so accommodating in every way. Spacious room, super comfortable bed, excellent value tasty breakfast. Went out of their way to ensure we got our breakfast before an early train. It was lovely to stay in the old town in the Old School which was immaculately clean. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone staying in Lindau.

The family who run the place are extremely friendly and welcoming and we really appreciated this. The location is great for exploring the island and our room was comfortable.

Owners young couple with baby were so helpful in all our needs. Our laundry was done with such care and such minimal cost. Upgraded to a beautiful room with lots of windows with the sun coming thru. The details to everything in this hotel was truly amazing. Must come here as you will truly love it. 11 out of 10 I will give it. Perfect stay!!! Well done you have a beautiful hotel!!

Honestly could not fault this hotel!!!

Room size is great and love the quirky extras. Flip flops / water supply and decor. Comfortable bed and very friendly staff who are happy to help with anything. No communal areas but to be honest you don’t need it. Breakfast room only.

This is a family-owned hotel, the owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, light, bright, and well-appointed. Beds were extremely comfortable. The bathroom was also very large and well-equipped. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety. The hotel is next to the old city wall, a short walk to all of the points of interest. Having visited Insel Lindau many times, this will now be our go-to place to stay!

What a great place. Lovely friendly family run hotel. Comfortable, spacious, spotlessly clean rooms. Photos don't do it justice. Everything looked brand new. Great breakfast and a perfect location. If I return to Lindau I will be staying here.

I couldn't fault the place.

The hotel is inside old town gate which I like a lot. The owner of the hotel was really friendly and helpful. The rooms are big and comfortable. We didn’t have breakfast. But there are many restaurants in the area. I highly recommend this hotel if you visit Lindau.
