    • Great to see the rescued animal residents in near-natural conditions. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and places like this offer a beacon of hope for improving animal welfare standards across Thailand.
    • We loved this experience, it was very special waking up and seeing an elephant from your balcony! The staff were great and the whole place had a lovely feel. Great breakfast too.
    • Staying at I Love Phants was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. It’s part of a sanctuary where elephants, monkeys, tigers, birds, and many other animals now live their best lives after being rescued from heartbreaking situations. The care and dedication of the people here is clear in every corner of the property. The lodge itself is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by trees and wildlife. From my balcony, I watched elephants on the path behind the cabins, gently breaking branches to fan themselves for hours. A tortoise made its home under the cabin next door, and each evening, the lyrical calls of gibbons and other monkeys filled the air. At night, I drifted off to sleep to the sound of elephants nearby, something I’ll never forget. The tour was excellent; informative and moving. It gave me a deeper understanding of the animals’ pasts and the new lives they have here, free and safe.On a more personal note, a small cat with a moon-marked face found me my first night and decided to keep me company in her quiet, independent way. Her presence brought an unexpected joy that made my stay even more special.

    Cons -

    • Practical note: my hot water didn’t work at times during my visit, but this didn’t overshadow the experience in any way.
    • Bed a little hard for me.
    • The only thing is if you are a light sleepers like me you should come with earplugs for the nights... Tje monkeys woke me up at 4am and couldn't really sleep again... And it is a while sencuary you are sleeping in, it is not quite early in the morning and might not be also at night...So just bring earplugs and it will be just fine.

The property was very clean and staff were excellent. A lot of wildlife to enjoy.

Bed a little hard for me.

Just wow, I was there for two nights and sadly only two nights... can't say how great was the experience and how important is contributing to what they are doing. The room was great, the restaurant on the grounds was really good both for breakfast and dinner and also launch as part of my day tour. The swimming pool is so amazing, infinity pool in front of the elephants and monkeys and everything, such and amazing experiences. And it is a must to also do the day tour and understand what they are doing... It is a sad story but full of hope and really appreciate the opportunity to be there and see that. The staff are all really nice and very good.

Amazing little lodge right by the WFFT elephant sanctuary and gibbon islands. Waking up to the birdlife, gibbon calls and elephants was a very special, once in a lifetime experience.

The property is perfectly set to maintain a wonderful view of the elephants. The room was large, well appointed and very comfortable. The terrace was also large and the perfect place to relax, unwind and watch the wildlife.

The stairs are steep and there are no ground floor rooms in the lodge.

    8TomPosted on: 4-6-2025

The location of the property was great and the views were fantastic. However the room was okay but the price is highly inflated. The facilities are fairly basic and the mattress could do with a new one as the springs are starting to come through. Complementary drinks were a bonus but no coffee. Restaurant was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The tour is a must!

    10JacquelinePosted on: 3-28-2025

The property was clean, private and there were plenty of supplies of soft drinks and water in your room all included. We had a Pool Bungalow which was idyllic to see the elephants walk past.

    There were no negatives.

This night at the „I love Phants Lodge“ was magical. We combined a „whole-day-stay“ at WFFT World Wildlife Friends Thailand with an overnight stay at the lodge. Sitting at the restaurant watching the sunset over the elephants area and alsositting on the balcony of the room in the dark in the evening and feeling/hearing two elephants approaching is an experience I will never forget. On the next day we also got the opportunity/permission to use the infinity pool after our checkout to enjoy also the day before leaving to Hua Hin again (1 hour drive). Thanks for all this beautiful hours at your special place. I would recommend it to everyone.

    Nothing at all.

The staffing and the management. They were very happy to be helpful and relaxed while being well orgaised.

Clarification on the room type locations and breakdown.

Elephants able to roam freely. They came to our lodge at night.

Well run by staff and volunteers. Guest relations were superb.

    9TraceyPosted on: 2-18-2025

We had the lodge next to the small watering hole, it was wonderful. The elephants wandered around, we had full use of the kitchen and seating area under the rooms.

    10NathaliePosted on: 2-15-2025

Nature at its finest! The very friendly staff, the comfortable room and the sounds of the animals at night made the trip an exceptional experience.

clean and beautifully set in nature

Staff were friendly, always with a smile. Our lodge was fantastic to see the elephants up close. The full day tour was great and we learnt about all the animals. We'll worth it, not to be missed.

Bed was a bit too hard on the back.

excellent location, eco friendly lodge in an animal park for rescued animals run by Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand, all animals are rescued from very poor conditions due to the pet trade, tourist industry or injury etc and given a wonderful life, reintroduced into the wild if this is possible but it isn't for all animals so they live their lives out there in comfort and with care from all the keepers. Great educational information available too. Such a wonderful experience but thankfully not a petting zoo.

    Nothing not to like.

The staff were friendly and very helpful with anything we needed. Free cold drink on arrival was a nice touch and some free snacks in our room too. The room was great with a big bathroom and a nice outdoor shower. Views from the pool were amazing, you could watch the monkeys and elephants. We ate dinner on site, which was delicious. Breakfast too was great - so much choice and great quality with some homemade jams on offer. We didn't have time to do the elephant tour but it was fun to be around the elephants whilst we were there.

Wonderful and unique setup Staff are excellent Buggy service to and from rooms is great

Breakfast buffet limited and not the highest quality A bit on the expensive side Rooms are basic and for the price I think the bed should be more comfortable and the shower hotter and with better pressure
