    Pros +

    • The receptionist who checked us in was charming and helpful and the breakfast was very good considering it is included in the price .
    • It's an interesting building, apparently an old bank. Staff was kind and very helpful. The location is perfect, very close near the city centre. Parking a large car in the underground garage is a great challenge. You will feel invigorated when you manage to get your car there without any damage.
    • Large room and new facilities. Great breakfast included in the room.

    Cons -

    • Unfortunately, the people who were in charge of styling this "Styles" hotel thought that "retro 1980's" would be hip. It's not, and it wasn't in the 80's either. The atmosphere isn't inviting, it's bland and cold (1980!). There are no interesting design elements as you would expect with an Ibis Styles. But worst of all, the entire hotel smells of plasticizer fumes, probably from the abundantly but badly applied vinyl wallpaper (1980's!). In the rooms themselves that smell is the worst. So yeah, for a back to the 1980's experience, it's great. For someone who grew up in the 1980's, not so much...
    • Parking option is limited in size of cars. Welcome staff was a little gruff at first but then nicer - maybe because of the English.
    • I don’t know why the hotel wasn’t busier.

Helpful staff, a nice big room, lovely breakfast, reasonable parking charges and a great location.

I don’t know why the hotel wasn’t busier.

Great location. Comfortable beds. Well equipped bathroom. Good breakfast.

Decor was a bit tired and dated. Rather austere atmosphere.

    3SerenaPosted on: 10-25-2025

    It had a spacious room

No tea or coffee making facilities in room. Had to go down to reception to make a drink by boiling a kettle. No water in room. No fridge in room. First room given to us stunk and was dirty so had to change rooms. Breakfast rubbish. Didn’t even have coffee in the coffee machine- so cup of hot milk.

Large room, excellent breakfast, in the city centre, with restaurants, shops and historic sites nearby. Very welcoming and helpful staff.

    City maps available at reception.

Good location. Car park was great, although best to have someone to help guide you

    7RobPosted on: 10-8-2025

    Garage. Spacious.

Steep climb out of the garage.

    9GaryPosted on: 9-27-2025

Great location, large comfortable room and good breakfast. Staff were really helpful.

Tight and steep entrance to car park - beware if you have a large vehicle.

    8SallyPosted on: 9-15-2025

Lovely big room, very comfortable bed. Great location in town centre, with a large place nearby and nice pedestrian areas for meals and drinks, as the hotel doesn't have a restaurant - not surprisingly given its location. The best breakfast I can remember in a very long time at a hotel of this kind. Really great choice of foods, and particularly so for my husband who is vegan, as they had yoghurts, plant milks, nuts and a muesli you could make up yourself ( ie not processed which often has milk in it). Charming staff member running it - really impressive all together. I would go back just for that.

The only thing to mention is the frighteningly tight entrance to their underground parking. Our car is a medium saloon and I had my heart in my mouth going in and out. We did manage it without any mishaps but be warned! (They will warn you if you ring, as well).

Lovely room with a balcony. Very quiet, the staff were very welcoming. The hotel has it’s own underground car park, so don’t forget to ask. Extensive breakfast selection included.

The city officials decided to close off the roads leading to the hotel for a race, it took us four hours to find a way to the hotel, ultimately we had to leave our bikes and walk to the hotel! Not the hotel fault.

    10JavierPosted on: 9-3-2025

Big room, approposed for a family. Beautiful hotel and good breakfast just in the city centre. Staff, everytime very pleasant. In our case, we travel by car, but if you want to go to Futiroscope you have a bus stop near hotel. The best option

The location was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large with a walk in shower.

The room we booked had a leaking waste pipe which flooded the floor. The next day we were moved to a smaller room with a smaller bed. Had no help from staff even though we are in our seventies. There was no management to take our complaint. The reception staff did not care and made us feel we were making a fuss.

    8JeffreyPosted on: 8-31-2025

Room was comfortable. Staff were responsive and helpful.

Little tricky getting to the hotel which is in a pedestrian zone. Underground parking might be a tight squeeze for larger vehicles. The room had not been thoroughly cleaned (trash left on the bathroom floor, and incomplete vacuuming), but front desk staff took care of addressing the situation promptly.

    Nice, very clean and confortable!!

Tiny space for storage!! But we stayed one night so we didn"t need it!! But if you want to stay more...there is no space!!

V goof breakfast. Access to parking very difficult but v convenient in town centre.

Access to parking down a steep and sharply angled ramp.

    10FearnPosted on: 8-28-2025

Lovely old building, quirky retro interior

    Parking could be awkward

    9CarolynPosted on: 8-23-2025

The room we had was huge, and with its own balcony was perfect. The sofa bed was very comfortable and everything was perfect. Location wise you can't go wrong, it's right in the centre of everything.

Pillows were a bit flat, you'll need to ask for more.

    8AlessandroPosted on: 8-18-2025

The breakfast buffet wasn't very varied, but the food was good quality. Excellent location in the center, with parking under the hotel (but only for small cars!). Very friendly staff.
