    Pros +

    • Good breakfast friendly helpful staff beautiful design areas of hotel
    • The building is beautiful. Staff were very helpful. It was very clean. Dinner and breakfast were good. Nice and quiet. Bed comfortable.
    • Small water boiler and coffee machine in room. Tea bags, coffee capsules, 1L water provided and refilled every day. Exceptional experience staying in a converted church. Staff very friendly. Rooms are quiet, windows can be opened. Very good restaurant and bar. Bus nearby, train station within walking distance.

    Cons -

    • The room was a little small could get a/c and I had booked the 3 rooms yet another person in my party received an upgrade where I as the booker did not!!!
    • Parking was difficult. No face washer.
    • Only 1 shelve in the "closet". There would be room for 1-2 more. A bit more storage space around the sink in the bathroom - maybe hooks/small shelves.

Good & nice restaurant & entrance, people & service was good and friendly. The idea of having an hotel in an old church is promising.

The hotel part (except the entrance which was great), was disappointing, the hallways felt very depressed like a barak. Rooms with dirty concrete walls & ceilings, ceiling lamp was hanging on its wire. Bathroom separation only with cheap curtain.

At least in winter, it’s a centrally located, quiet location, 5 minutes from the main square, about 10 minutes from the station (but it’s a confusing exit—don’t walk down to street level; look for the walking bridge beyond the escalators). The staff were friendly, accommodating and helped with sight-seeing logistics. Breakfast was amazingly good, a lot of variety. The bed was so comfortable I slept 14 hours!

It’s not a dislike: some rooms have internal stairs (duplex). I don’t do well with stairs in the middle of the night. Fortunately, they switched me.

The restaurant was excellent. Service throughout the hotel was good, friendly, and helpful. as were the calls prior to confirm items such as an Iron & parking.

No bar, as advertised, just a restaurant. Breakfast wasn't good value for the money.

Well located. Great front desk staff. Wonderful unique architecture as was once a cathedral. Very unique old world restaurant

Although room very clean ancient lobby and restaurant stellar we were baffled by the hallways to guest rooms. The walls and ceilings in hallways need to be painted and appropriate lighting added. The hallway and room carpets are shockingly stained. Bye bye carpets please

Very unique hotel. Very well located for all the sites. Excellent breakfast.

Standard room is a bit small, steps up to sleeping area.

Both food and service exceptional. The staff in the dining room were efficient and welcoming.

    Nothing to dislike.

This hotel located in the former church, so it is an unique experience. Room is comfortable, we had a great view from the windows! There was no door to the bathroom, but it was not problem for us (toilet was separate and with door ). Restaurant is very good, I recommend to have a dinner there.

    Breakfast is very basic.

Perfect location. With a very good restaurant on site. Into the heart of poitiers, vary accessible to many points of interest. Very helpful and friendly reception staff.

A unique bedroom that was a novelty.Reception staff were very helpful!

We booked via booking.com and superior bedrooms are not as pictured (less grand) so this was disappointing. The bed was not at all comfortable and the facilities in the room were very basic compared to other 4 stars we have stayed in recently. In addition there was no bar facilities outside of restaurant dining times which is poor for a 4 star hotel.

    8GeorgePosted on: 10-7-2024

The Location of the hotel is in a walking distance from main attractions of Poitier but also from restaurants/bars etc. In a 5-7 walking distance from the central train station.

In a 4 star hotel they did not have slippers as is commonly given, and they have a policy on controlling the temperature of the room (they did not allowed me to abjust the temperature through air condition)

the breakfast is amazing!!! lots of choices. The room is cozy and the bed is comfortable. with the table and chair in the room, it's a good place for me who have to work remotely here.

Really lovely hotel in the middle of Poitier’s historic centre. Lovely restaurant albeit as a university town there were plenty of eatery options so great for an evening meal after a days driving! Friendly, helpful staff with a good green policy well executed!

    Nothing!

Great location and staff really nice

Didn't like the fact there isn't anywhere to wash your hands after going to the toilet, you have to come out the cubical and cross the bedroom to the shower area to wash hands. Not very hygienic especially since your touching handles and light switches with unwashed hands.

Unique - built into a church building added character. Friendly staff. Great location.

No facilities, gym etc for a longer stay. Restaurant difficulty to book.

    7HortensePosted on: 9-6-2024

Lovely room in the old chapel, spacious and very clean. Didn't get to spend much time in the hotel but the location is really convenient and the restaurant seemed nice as well.

Noises from the other rooms or the corridors could be heard from our bed.

    Location, architecture, restaurant, bed, shower

Room was too warm (aircon kept going off and set at 24 degrees so I woke up in a sweat). I didn’t like the smell of shower gel (Nuke honey ?).

    Nice restaurant

No air con in our very basic room. No taxis available. Cute coffee shop across the road always closed.
