    Pros +

    • We stayed here last year and were amazed at the great value for this resort. You would be lucky to get a villa on the beach with a pool and breakfast included for the price we paid here. We didn't opt for a private pool villa but they are available at a reasonable rate. The beach is beautiful, the staff as ever are super friendly and we loved our visit .. again ! I would maybe suggest a few snack options at the reception (it is off season so the restaurant is not currently open) ... however we bought plenty of beer and water ... which were available ? look forward to our next visit - we hope to bring friends next time xx ??
    • It was okay location
    • This is a large, quiet place, there’s a lovely beach and pool. The ocean’s shallow, if not high tide, but you can walk 100 yards towards the point and swim in deeper water. The bungalows are a good size.

    Cons -

    • Very very basic. Had trouble locking the door to the room and in the morning the staff had to unlock our room as we couldn’t.
    • The finishes and fixtures are old, and a bit worn out in places. Especially the bathroom mirror!
    • Renovation going on in apartment above us till very late hours. Only stopped when intervened.Basic breakfast. Breakfast area with old bird shit on all chairs. Staff couldn't be bothered to take care of the place. Kitchen not higienic with strong sewer smell at the back of the kitchen. Leftover building items such as pipes, pices of steel, and general rubbish, electrical cables behind the hotel room. Some random dudes are sleeping under the boat on hotel grounds.

Our villa was HUGE, 2 stories, 2 private porches overlooking the sea. I could have spent a month here and been happy! The property was very clean and the staff graciously let us check in 3 hours early because we arrived early.

Remote island location. Beautiful views when looking away from the hotel. Our room was newly refurbished. It was so new that it was missing basic necessities like coffee cups, table some chairs, cupboard, Light switches were still covered with paint protective foil. Dust from renivation on appliances.

Renovation going on in apartment above us till very late hours. Only stopped when intervened.Basic breakfast. Breakfast area with old bird shit on all chairs. Location, friendly staff

Stayed in Skyroom. Run down, in deep need of renovation (roof falling down, cracks in wall, rust everywhere), even though the cleaners did a good job the room itself was in terrible shape. Entire facility needs updating. There are many better places to stay at on Koh Mook for cheaper prices

    6AlanPosted on: 1-15-2025

The location was excellent, nice beach close walk into town for shops, bars and restaurants. A short walk along the beach to a couple of nice restaurants. Room spacious with fabulous views.

Room tired and things missing. Not a friendly welcome and no information we found out on the last day you could get an omelette and beach towels. The resort is so tired they are investing in pool rooms but you would not pay the price due to the general up keep and lazy staff. Never once did they clear a table at breakfast or ask if you needed anything. Also the sea goes out a long way so the pool would have been welcome but green around the edges and dirty. Some paint for the roofs of the bungalows, paint around the pool and lights and a good tidy up would make this resort pretty special

Very good location.Nice beach.Island centre nearby / in a short 3min walking distance.Pier nearby / in a 10min walking distance.Consider renting a scooter to drive to Charlie Beach. Book a trip to Emerald Cave, this is a cool adventure. And if not visited before, take a day trip to Ko Krdan. Hotel reception will kindly help you with boat and scooter rental.Miss Island Bakery nearby is probably the best restaurant ir Thailand. Dont miss the opportunity to have a dinner there.

Some rennovation probably needed to make the place look and feel nicer.Beds were quite uncomfortable.Breakfast was sad. ?

The only ‘good’ thing was it was on/just in from the beach.

The messy entrance, reception seemed surprised we arrived, the beach bungalow was tiny (sitting on couch you had to but your feet on the bed!), bathroom door couldn’t close/had to kick it to open it, hard bed, needs serious renovation. Right next door to mosque with LOUD speaker prayers from 5am with dogs joining in with howling. Paid for six nights and stayed for one. Breakfast was a toasted sandwich with a coffee. Worst experience on Bookings.com

The location, proximity to the harbour! On the most beautiful beach. The room despite other reviews was exceptionally clean. Not luxury but clean and for the price perfect

It's got nothing to do with the hotel. The island does have dogs. They can be aggressive with eachother but these dogs live here. I saw another review saying the dogs should be taken away. They are loved and fed. They are island dogs so not exactly manicured but they are very friendly. If your not a dog lover go elsewhere

If you want a great value resort with a pool that is beachfront - with breakfast included (!) Then this is the place. We loved it here and felt so welcome - we will definitely return.

    3ThomasPosted on: 1-25-2024

Not much that was good about this place and we don’t recommend it.

It was ants in the room and the basin, toilet and mirror was aweful. The water in the shower didn’t go down the pipe so the whole floor got wet and slippery. The stairway to the room on 2nd floor was a little bit dangerous. The breakfast was bad, ants at the fruit and marmelaid. If you are vegan, vegetarian or don’t want to eat sugar there’s not much you can eat. The pathway to the village was awful, smelled really bad and they put the trash on fire which smelled and caused headache. The imam start the prayercall at 05 in the morning and that’s not nice to wake up to. The beach at the resort was dirty with alot of trash, so we walked to the beach at Sivalai Resort.

Absolutely nothing. it was literally like a nightmare.

The room was beyond dirty with worms on the floor and the pillow cases had huge disgusting stains. We never got the keys to our room because they didn’t find them in the “reception” which was also very messy and dirty. The water smelled like rotten eggs, we had to buy bottles of water to freshen up ourselves this morning since we were not gonna take a shower with the water from the hotel. We were unable to sleep inside the sheets of the bed because everything was so dirty, the walls, the windows, the bathroom, the bed linen… EVERYTHING!! At 5:00 am they played very loudly on huge speakers a prayer all through the complex and then again at 6:00 am, it woke us up. Everything in the premises of the hotel looked old and dirty and broken. I needed to borrow a pen and a paper from the reception, they didn’t have anything and the reception was made a mess, there’s no personal and the only person who is in the reception, doesn’t speak any English at all.

The location, the sand. Was allowed to check in early and to check out late.

    Not complete amenities.

    4LauraPosted on: 4-13-2021

The staff were nice and it wasn’t too far from the pier. The staff took us into the town on their tuk tuk for a small fee.

The room was not cleaned to a high standard. The bathroom was constantly soaking with a pipe pouring water into it. The pool and grounds were dirty and full of rubbish. It was very run down and not maintained so we were very disappointed.

    3TravellerPosted on: 4-11-2021

Convenient to transport by boat in front of the beach.

It's not hotel or resort. It just a rental room with a few amenity. Just for sleep.

The rooms were fine, the pool was clean and we had it all to ourselves. We felt sorry for them as their livelihood has been taken away because of COVID. It was right on the beach. We had booked for two nights but in the end had to go back to Phuket after 1 night because of predicted COVID restrictions. When we left, there was no one around so we couldn’t check out or tell them we were leaving. If you can be self sufficient, you will be fine. There was a nice resort on the edge of the peninsula, two resorts away that was active and we ate there.

We arrived to the resort by foot from the pier. It seemed to be deserted until we got to the restaurant at the front. A man was there, but he didn’t talk to us, he was on his phone. After some time he asked us to pay, which we had to check as we had already given our credit card on booking.com. But it hadn’t been charged. With our bit of Thai we managed to find out that they were expecting us and the rooms were ready, but they couldn’t provide any food. We paid and they took us to our rooms, one women covering her face with her t-shirt. I tried to reassure her we came from Phuket and didn’t have covid. It would be good if we could have known the situation before we arrived, as the information on booking.com was out of date. But I understand the difficulty; these are people who don’t speak any English and they need the scant few tourists who arrive. I’m sure in the usual time they would’ve employed English speaking staff.
