Frangipani Beach Villa

The staff were incredibly helpful with everything we needed, very friendly and genuine people. The room was pretty clean, had working AC, very close to the beach (practically on the beach), the pictures of the rooms online being accurate. The food at the restaurant was also very good, although the breakfast had only vegetarian options...

Food was delicious, staff super friendly, close to lots of other bars and restaurants. Pool clean. Rooms spacious and clean.

It’s in a nice location, first line of the beach.

The AC was very bad, almost no working, so during the night was quite hot. Breakfast on the first day took 40 min to be served. Second day we came later and it was faster. There were no towels for beach available.

The property is right on the beach and you can chill whole day at the sun beds. The pool is also amazing with beach view. They have an inhouse Café with many food options. The room was big and spacious and had air conditioning. The staff is helpful and can offer guidance and can exchange currency also.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help, which made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere throughout the resort was warm and relaxing, and the beach was absolutely beautiful – clean, peaceful, and with a stunning view we never got tired of. Breakfasts were delicious and varied, with something for everyone to enjoy.

One thing worth noting is that a part of the hotel is still under construction, so the area around the pool wasn’t as attractive as the rest of the resort. Also, nearly every day there were local fishermen encouraging guests to join in with their activities. While this was interesting at first and offered a unique experience, it did become a bit tiresome over time. And some days was very bad wifi connection.

Basic hotel that had everything you need for a couple of nights. Pool was lovely and ideal to be beachfront too. The restaurant food wasn’t e but expensive, there is a lot of uneven ground and dangerous steps though so need to be very careful walking around. Rooms were basic but had air con water tea coffee etc

Great facility, well-kept. Good location for rest after sightseeing or between trips around Sri Lanka. I recommend with a clear conscience. Very nice and friendly staff, always smiling and willing to help. Location right on the beach, very good restaurant, tasty meals and delicious juices from fresh fruit. Great option of a swimming pool by the beach from which you can admire the beautiful view of the ocean waves. I recommend

The best part of our stay was definitely the beach right in front of the hotel – it was beautiful and peaceful.

Unfortunately, this hotel was a disappointment for me.To reach our room, we had to use an old, shaky wooden staircase that felt very unsafe. The room itself was very old, extremely small, and not properly cleaned. One of the bathroom lights was broken, and because the walls were dark-colored, the bathroom felt very dim. Occasionally, there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom, and since the top part of the bathroom was not fully closed off, the odor spread into the room.During our 4-night stay, the room was never cleaned and the trash was never taken out.Breakfast could also be improved. In a tropical country like Sri Lanka, we expected to see more local fruits, but the selection mainly consisted of pastries. Also, during breakfast, the staff frequently approached our table asking if we were finished or needed anything. While we appreciated their attentiveness, it sometimes felt a bit rushed and uncomfortable.

Great fresh food, cold beers and not too sweet cocktails.And if the sand and the waves get too much, and you aren’t already staying at the hotel, you can use the pool for free (if you purchase a meal).Friendly, attentive and hospitable staff - that’s really the standout for this place! They truly care about their guests enjoying their food and stay. Also they allow you to pay in different currencies (at a rate better than most banks!)We stayed here for two nights, it’s easy to understand why most people stay at Frangipani for at least a week! Comfy beds, clean rooms, reliable wifi and great food - right on the beach. There’s no real reason to leave!However - the corners of the bathroom could be cleaner

We had an amazing stay at this accommodation! The place was exactly as described. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always willing to help. Their hospitality really made the experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

Perfect location, directly at the beach. Lovely, clean part of the beach, but strong undercurrent and waves. Great pool.Friendly people.

Good location, couple steps from the beach. Swimming pool as well, super close, nice and clean. Spacious room with airco and fan, clean, coffee/tea set and kettle provided. Small fridge under the table. The staff friendly and helpful, they arranged me hair dryer and cuttlery to my room. We got welcoming juice gratis. Good breakfast, western style. Dinner available, bar, sun beds for free for the guests, can get a herbal massage on the beach. We enjoyed our stay!

Can't complain about the room or service, we had no unpleasant experiences there. Everyone was nice and helpful. Food in the hotel restaurant is a bit expensive comparing to other local restaurants. Plus you are charged 10% service fee even if you only order 1 beer at the bar. Would be nice to have shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom.

Amazing beach front location with a lovely pool.

Quite basic accommodation, could do with some modernisation and no where to hang any clothes but no real complaints as such.

Great vibes due to the wonderful staff. They had a live band one of the evenings and we were all enjoying the music and enjoying ourselves. They really take care of the guests.

I found the beach to be less nice than some others I visited. It could just have been the days I was there but it was very windy, and the beach is not that wide. Water is also not great for swimming. Still a great stay either way!

We had the most wonderful time at Frangipani Beach Villa. Our room had an amazing view. The beach is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very good.

The only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

The location and the syaff

With a king size bed we were only given a single sheet each and one blanket that didn't cover us both. The a/C was noisy and the toilet seat needed replacing. Our room wasn't cleaned during the 3 day stay.
