Eva Lanka Hotel

Everything. This place is enchanting and exceeded our already high expectations multiple times over. We already changed our plans for the second half of our Sri Lankan trip to come back here - nowhere else can you find the tranquility, comfort, peace and easy access to an unspoilt beach. Staff are so friendly and willing and the owners are on hand at all times to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Rooms missed basic amenities, wifi did not work properly throughout entire stay, warm water stopped working on the last day, staff was slow to respond and fix things

Location by the sea, quiet, pools, grounds, bar and table tennis area, helpful staff. Rooms fairly basic but comfortable and clean and lovely overlooking sea

TV never worked (as with some other hotels in Sri Lanka, despite someone coming out to fix it) but we weren't there to watch TV.

Incredibly gorgeous location. Amazing beach. Nice pools. Great pizza!

They could improve the coffee which is not good! Next time I’ll bring my own…

Breakfast was o.k. The bread could be of better quality and I really missed fresh cheese. The coffee was terrible

Only breakfast could be better and the spa facility need fans. To chase flies away while you try to relax is not a joke. The therapists are friendly but they don't have the right training. You urgently need to upgrade the spa

A beautiful location and hotel set up. Lovely grounds, swimming pools and spacious family rooms. Lovely massage and ayuverdic treatments.

The website invites you to join complimentary daily yoga sessions but they actually charge $10 per person per class and there wasn't a class every day. The class we did try was disappointing. A real shame as this was one of the main reasons I booked this hotel. Picturesque beach but too rough for swimming.

Lovely hotel with expansive grounds (lots of wildlife) and great beach. The rooms could do with an update and would like to have seen a bit more variety with the food.

The resort is located near a beautiful beach, and you get a stunning seaview from the resort area. However, the hotel itself may have seen better days and could use better maintenance in many areas. The swimming pools were quite dirty on a daily basis, and furthermore, the staff didn’t collect any empty plates or glasses away from the pool side area instead those were left there for hours, which definitely did not enhance the overall experience.

Fantastic beautiful location with perfect weather and wonderful staff. Highly recommended for a quiet retreat surrounded by nature.

Nothing I didn’t like

This resort was just OK. It's a pretty place, the peacocks and iguanas were wonderful. Good beach. Two pools, one big, one small.. The wood fired pizza was excellent.

We had a beach front bungalow, and it wasn't the cleanest. The floor was sticky,the bathroom is quite worn, and I made the mistake of looking at one of the single mattresses in the lounge area, really filthy. The food was OK, there are better options outside the hotel. It was expensive for what we got, and perhaps one of the rooms in the middle of the resort would have been better value.

Wonderful empty unspoiled beach. Staff at the hotel couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The hotel is a little tired but this does not detract from the facilities or the lovely feeling of space. Nice pool.

Pas de musique d' ambiance au restaurant alors c'est un peu triste .No music at the restaurant so it is a bit sad Pas de rideau occultant dans les chambres !Lack of darkness in the room

The hotel consisted of a large number of building with beautiful gardens and palm trees in between, 2 swimming pools and well being building for treatments/ yoga. The wildlife was amazing, the birds, many peacocks and monkeys. A few steps and we were on the stunningly beautiful beach, quiet and edged by palm trees. This hotel had everything!!!

Gorgeous hotel with salt water pools, spa facilities and stunning beach on your doorstep. Really enjoyed the buffet breakfast. We had a wonderful room overlooking the pool and sea which was the perfect size for two adults and my 4 year old son.

The dinner wasn't very exciting and although there were a few options at the entrance to the hotel, the majority are a 20 min tuk tuk ride away.

Great location, really big place, but peaceful and quiet. I couldn’t her anyone, even if they were fully booked. Tidy rooms, cosy, nice view. Plus they have aqua pizzaPlace is better in real live than on booking’s pictures

The water head is low

It is a great place. Large garden with rooms scattered in small houses. It comes with two pools and a great beach. Just remember that the waves can get quite strong, but kids can find a good place at the end of the beach.

The pools, beach and the room are really nice and clean. Also the wild life with peacocks, chipmunks, varans, eagles etc.

The pizzas at the restaurant are very good! But the breakfast and other menu options are not very good.

A fantastic escape from the noise and crowds. The beautiful beach, tranquil and well-maintained grounds, and relaxed atmosphere made our stay perfect. Our room exceeded expectations, and the restaurant/bar staff were excellent. Simple but delicious breakfasts and dinners, plus easy arrangements for tuk-tuks and surf lessons, completed the experience.
