Ganesh Garden Beach Cabanas

The grounds and location - just absolutely gorgeous. Cabins are right in the beach and there are swings, beach beds, kayak area. Incredible setting. Also liked the bed outside our cabin.

Room was small and pretty rustic. Restaurant food was mediocre and service very slow.

A beautiful location right on the beach an incredible location. The swim up bar and the Mango Lassi were a treat.

The entire grounds and surrounding area is 10/10 if you’re looking for a secluded relaxed stay. The river beautifully runs along the beach just a short walk from the place. The garden is so picturesque with lounge chairs and hammocks on the beach. Staff very helpful. The Sri Lankan food options I found to be very tasty. Did not take western food there. Breakfast was filling and plentiful. Overall quite clean.

Rooms were very basic, poor lit and dark. Bedsheets were stained. Room furniture was oddly placed: dining table with a low sofa but no dining chairs. No bedside tables or bedside lamps for reading. Overall I found it too pricey for the standard of the rooms. We didn’t spent much time in our room tho so for us we enjoyed the stay because we were outside all the time. Wifi did not work in my room. Staff seemed surprised when I told them then told me that it shuts off at 8 when the restaurant does, I found it an odd comment. Wifi in other units I believe was not a problem.

A beautiful beachfront spot with a very friendly owner who makes the whole stay feel personal. The cabanas are spacious, airy and comfortable, and the whole area has a super chilled, tropical atmosphere. I really enjoyed waking up to the sound of the ocean. A small improvement like a shelf in the bathroom would be useful, but overall it was a lovely stay.Once again THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE STAFF! You are the best!

Beautiful location at the far eastern end of Tangalle Beach. Very wild and remote feeling, but with all the comforts you need & only a 15 minute walk / 5 min tuk-tuk ride to the more developed parts of Tangalle. Appreciated the swimming pool, since the ocean is not safe for swimming. Staff were lovely, breakfasts delicious and plentiful. Mud huts were quite rustic and basic, but this just added to the lovely remote feel of the place and everything functioned well. Loved the hammocks and sun-loungers on the beach, shaded by the trees & the daybed on the balcony and particularly the 2 beautiful, gentle beach dogs who try to call this home ❤️.

The only improvement I could suggest is the restaurant menu. Whilst breakfasts were excellent, we found the restaurant menu a little limited and expensive compared to others nearby.

We were a group of 19 people staying at Tangalle Resort, and our experience was exceptional from start to finish. The manager, Taranga, went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of. His support, organisation, and friendly approach made our stay smooth and enjoyable.The situation of the chalets is just great, overlooking the stunning beach.The resort staff were welcoming, the rooms comfortable, and the atmosphere peaceful. Coordinating a group of our size is never easy, yet everything was handled with professionalism and genuine care.Thank you, Tangalle Resort, and a special thank you to Taranga for making our stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!As soon as we have another opportunity we will definitely come back.

You can go for Kajak at the mangrove.It’s in the front of the beach.the rooms are old and super used, also some TripAdvisor certified hang on the wall from 2012,it’s bit funny.when we arrived we get e strawberry juice, you feel more powder than others.

This facility together with an hotel this has a pool.the Ganesh Garden has no pool.The breakfast better not take, it’s nothing fresh.

A really lovely spot for a great overnight stay and rustic beach stay experience. The location is quite secluded but that is lovely as you don’t feel surrounded by tourists. Lovely cabanas located right on the beach, great restaurant and really lovely, helpful staff. Really lovely to hear the ocean at night, and cabanas are great to relax on the outside sofas in the evening. The cabanas are very basic but have everything that you need. If anything this adds to the experience. The staff went above and beyond to help my husband when he injured his leg and foot on the rocks.

This was the most beautiful stay we had in Sri Lanka. So nice to live in a beach cabana and wake up on the beach. Beautiful stay and a very nice pool. The staff helped us to rent a scooter at the hotel wich was very helpful.

One female staff appeared mad all the time, but othervise was everyone happy. Almost everyone goes up at 6-7am to leave their towels at sunbeds just to take them, and I hate that.

Loved our stay. Stunning area, very quiet and picture perfect. We had our own tuk tuk so easy to pop down the main street but only a 10 min walk to more restaurants etc.Our Cabana looked out to beautiful palm trees and beach glimpses, perfect,.

The location was good, an easy 15 min walk into the town along a strip of many restaurants and bars.The grounds and front of the cabanas were kept immaculate, with plenty of hammocks sunbeds and towels for everyone.We didn't eat in the restaurant but they did a very good pot of tea.

The room was small with an oversized bed and table making it difficult to walk around the room.There wasn't anywhere to put clothes, suitcases etc, we moved the safe to the floor to allow more table space.The bathroom was very tired but the shower did work well.We were under the impression we had booked a cabana with a sea view, which we would have had but the trees blocked it. The description should have stated a garden view.We did like the balcony with the hammock.

Beautiful location facing both beach and the lagoonYou can get free kayak to explore lagoon in your ownThe beach is wide and beautiful, there are some restaurants in a hotel and around but they do not take away the feeling of being quite secluded and close to the natureThere is also a pool!There is a lot of greenery in between huts and overall I loved the feeling of being close to the nature Staff was genuinely very friendly and nice Great buffet breakfast!

Hut inside is quite dark - didn’t bother me at all as we where out all day but that’s possibly a negative

Ganesh Gardens was located in a wonderful location. The best part of Tangalle. The beach was unspoilt, quiet and definitely not as crowded as other beaches on the coastline. The staff were so lovely, helpful and very kind.We would highly recommend the stay to future guests.The food was really good, tasty and plentiful.Kind Regards. Allison, Richard, Wayne and Karen.

The only annoyance were the showers. Not so powerful and not always very warm. We did mention this to the staff and they tried to rectify it for us. I guess when you are staying on the beach in huts, albeit very rustic and lovely it is too be expected. It didn't spoil our stay, just a little frustrating at times.

A really nice area, short walk down the road to other places

The room was really small with two double beds in it, our child could have had a smaller bed, and the room would have been a lot better. Add a few hooks on the walls for stuff that should not be kept on the floor would really do the trick

Location is fantastic, easy to walk to great little beach bars nearby. Wide open beach but swimming is perhaps difficult for a timid swimmer. Staff was very nice and accommodating.

Bathrooms are very outdated, as mentioned by others. Value for money is certainly based not location, not the facilities.

In the cottages beside the ocean was quite noisy at night due to large waves (I now… the nature ;)

Mud canCabannas were fun, very basic but a lovely quiet situation among the treesBeach was stunning and almost deserted, no swimming or surfing, too dangerous.Great pool area with bar and one of the best curries in the restaurant, also excellent selection in buffet breakfast.Staff very helpful.Overall a stunning location and very peaceful.
