Olympus Plaza Hotel

Excellent service. had a homely stay. The breakfast was superb. Staff was very friendly. gave us the room upgrade on request without an hesitation.

Wonderful villa, hotel, walkable distance from station. nice city & mountain view in the top floor for having food & tea!

The location was good, not central but not too far from the main part. The bed was comfy and the towels fluffy. The shower was hot. The breakfast was very good, but the staff a little over attentive. The morning staff were spot on :) The views were lovely

The window frames were dirty, it would be good if they were cleaned after every booking! The room was a bit tired and in need of an update. The TV had very few channels.

This is wonderful location , friendly staff ( specially bar and restaurant ) Nice and clean room.

We were given rooms in the old wing, which were not upto standard (3 Rooms). Upon our complain we were given three other rooms but still they were not as good as the rooms we used in the new wing during our last vsist 6 weeks ago. In the room I stayed (Triple - Room number 635) sun was falling on glass panels from two sides (corner room), making the room warmer by 7 am. The hotel should have known this. When I checked-in, the manager wanted me to pay the full amount upfront. When I inquired why, I was told that people compalin on check out. What it implies is that compalints are happening on a regular basis. The breakfast on the 1st day was horribel. Chicken curry was served in a very small dish with no flesh but only bones. When we comlained , they brought anothr dish of chicken freshly prepared but it was half coocked. Inside was still raw.Due to this reason one couple left after two days but the hotel charged for 3 days stating that we have booked throughbooking.com and hence need to charge for all three days. One of them had a stomach disorder after consuming pasta (old pasta) on the first day night. Very unlikely that we will go there again.

My view was a concrete wall, we asked for cod promised but not deluverd, would also not fit anyway.

Hotel located at an attractive location on a mountain ridge with 360 views of the surroundings. Staff and management was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good.

Wi-Fi reception was not very good. Even mobile data reception was not good.

They provide us Sri Lankan meals according to our requirements. They allowed us to stay extra time (late check out) without additional cost. There is a recreational facility at the hotel. Overall, we are happy with stay at the hotel.

Cleanliness, location and friendly staff. View from the room is superb. They freely upgraded our room to next scale. Breakfast is ok.

One of staff member asked us to go to outside restaurant but when we returned saw group of other guest having their meals at inside restaurant. We were served only papaya fruit as dessert but saw foreigner was served other fruits also

Breakfast ala carte (we rather enjoy buffet), but it was maybe because there were no other guests, no pool, but in this mountain area no surprise ;-)

I can't tell you how impressed I am at the kindness of the staff here. Truly just amazing people. From arrival to departure they were always attentive, making sure I had everything needed. I left some flippers behind and without saying anything, someone raced to bring them to me at the train station. I couldn't believe it - this team really cares! The view of the valley waking up also really made my day. Was so so happy here and delighted with my choice!

The wifi really needs help. I know it's hard in Sri Lanka, and with routers on each floor they try.. but I'm a digital nomad and it was tough as couldn't get cell signal in the room either. If you come, prepare to work from the cafe a few doors down.

Staff were so lovely and helpful. The views from the room are stunning! Haputale is a great spot for a couple of days

Food is ok,restaurant located outside,no room service,they were not able to provide my youngest child dinner although they promised me at the time of the booking.
