Very nice staff and quick Check-in.

It‘s not in Ella but quite far away. There is nothing in vicinity. It rained so it was quite boring.The rooms was clean, there was hair in the shower and generally the bathroom was not a 10/10.

Luxor kirindi ella resort is a beautifully designed hotel -stylish, thoughtfully decorated, and visually impressive. The room facilities were also great. On the bright side,great value for money.isuru and all the staff were lovely, helpful and welcoming.The food was fresh and tasty.the food was exceptional-both breakfast and dinner were à la carte, delicious, and beautifully presented. I would rate the kitchen a solid 10/10. The staff were also kind and helpful.

Our stay at Luxor Kirindi Ella was truly unforgettable! Nestled in Bandarawela, between Ella and Haputale, the location was ideal for exploring the region. The staff were exceptionally warm and accommodating, going above and beyond to offer great local tips and assistance. Our room was impeccably clean, with a cozy bed and breathtaking views of the mist-covered mountains. The breakfast was outstanding. We absolutely loved our experience and would choose Luxor Kirindi Ella again without hesitation!

Lovely hotel and very friendly staff. Transport was really difficult, some of it due to new year but I would say only stay here if you had your own transport.

The hotel and the staff were friendly, in terms of space the 3 bedroom appartement was great for a family of 5 with 3 bedrooms. One problem with the rooms was that it was near impossible to take a shower. It was either absolutely boiling or… absolutely boiling. Apparently some new heating system which pressure is too high to let the cold water through as mains are fairly low pressure. We were told to let cold water run 40 seconds but didnt solve. One slight annoyance after the first day out all day was that no one cleaned the room. We can leave without but also meant no bottles of water provided. In terms on swimming pool, what the photo doesn’t show is that it is just over a main road it was not in Ella, but 30 minutes away, which was not a problem for us with our driver guide. The big problem was dinners. We are literally talking about 1h wait for a pasta, when we were the only guests. And none of the dished arrived remotely st the same time (again we are talking of possibly 40 minutes after the first 1h wait for everyone to be served) On the second night they warned me that my curry would take 30 minutes, which i agreed was fine as needed lots of prep, but what they didn’t tell us is they wouldn’t even start cooking for the rest of the family before mine was served, so my daughter had to wait 1h for penne al pesto…. After my 30 minutes! And this was the same every 3 nights, but you dont have a choice as hotel is too remote to go somewhere else. They need to sort this!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Comfortable room. The name is misleading as it is not in Ella (we should also have checked location in more detail before booking). Hotel were able to help us organise a tuk tuk to get around

Excellent evening meal. Freshly prepared and cooked. Beer available. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Splendid shower. Hotel is very new and modern. Bandewela is about 20 mins drive from Ella. Lovely small swimming pool

Being asked what time and what we want for breakfast the evening before.Staff generally seemed very new but were very happy and willing to help.Hotel is rather remote from restaurants and so you need to have transport if going out in the evening.

The only good thing was the staff, they were friendly and helpful throughout and they really tried to improve our situation but unfortunately it was out of their hands.

Where do we start? The biggest issue is that we booked a ‘Standard double’ room based off the images on Booking.com, when we checked into the hotel the room looked nothing like those images and it smelt of damp.They moved us to another room after we complained which was marginally better but still not like what was in the pictures. On the morning after our first night we spoke to a new person on reception and she admitted they use the same pictures from the more luxurious rooms for the standard double. They offered us to move to one of their better rooms for the second night but at this point it was too little too late - we are currently asking for a refund through booking.comThe breakfast is Al A Carte which is fine but the vegetarian options are limited. I asked for a vegetarian breakfast and literally got two mushrooms and some scrambled eggs (see photo). To top it off, they would take our towels in the morning but wouldn’t replace them- just annoying!Just to let you know, the pool is also a lot more underwhelming than the pictures show. Finally, the location is bad (this is a bit on us, we should have checked). In the name it is ‘Luxor Kirindi Ella’ - the hotel is over 30mins from Ella!!

The facilities and set up are brilliant. This is one of the most modern places you’ll find if you’re wanting something near Ella, however this is NOT in Ella. It’s about 30 mins out of the center.

Location is a bit deceiving, although not an issue as we had a tour guide, if you’re travelling without one this is not an ideal location to stay.

In the first room there was molded mattress and three of five pillows stank like sweat :/ they need to do something about the mold which you could feel everywhere

The staff was really nice. And helpful.The manager prepared snacks and fruit because we were leavin at 4 in the morning for a safari. And he got up just because of us. Thank you again.Also nice pool and clean and spacious room

Only 2 bed by pool. Small outdoor space . Isolated but fine if you have a driver.

The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to help. They provided a delicious breakfast and dinner at the dining hall with a lovely view. The location was convenient and easy to access. The rooms were spacious, new and clean, we slept very comfortably.

The rooms need a bit of improvement: fix the leaking shower, we had a wet bathroom the whole time. This wasn’t a pleasant experience. There needs to be better ventilation (like an exhaust fan) in the bathroom. Needed hand towels and bath mats. The sink taps, toilet roll holder and towel hooks were not fixed properly. The toilet roll holder came off completely. The bedroom needed heating and better storage (hooks, coat hangers, bed side table on all sides. There was plenty of space but it wasn’t used efficiently.

One of the best rooms we stayed in during our trip. Lovely balcony overlooking the pool. Nice big, comfy bed - slept really well. Staff were very helpful and tried their best. Even sent my glasses to our next hotel by courier!

A bit out of the way for us. Wasn’t really near any restaurants etc. Didn’t really like having to pre order food - breakfast and dinner.

Lovely room with beautiful Mountain views. All new and clean facilities with a pool (although much smaller than the photos suggest and very cold). Comfortable extra large bed, lovely bedding, all very clean. Warm and friendly staff.

No hand towels, face and bath towels only and nowhere to hang them when wet. No mirror in the room. No hot water on day one so showered in cold water, blocked drain so bathroom flooded. Staff seemingly indifferent to the discomfort and disappointment caused, although they kept smiling. No housekeeping so returned at the end of the day to dirty cups & glasses, bed unmade, no fresh towels, cleaning etc. Asked to pay the bill before we had even checked into or seen the room and Manager unable to produce an invoice. Staff were pleasant and friendly but no leadership or initiative and clearly profit is at the heart of this hotels focus rather than customer care.

Nice room but terrible service. Took a whole hour to get a cup of tea and we ended up going up to our room to get water after an hour's wait. Lovely hotel but clear that they haven't got a clue about the restaurant/hotel business.
