Logis Hôtel Maison Voltaire

Great little hotel, walking distance to the castle and the river. Easy free parking from 7.30pm to 9am with one free hour, so until 10am, plenty of time to enjoy the great breakfast with superb little pastries. The Air Conditioning was great to have. Great value. Highly recommand this hotel.

Average breakfast. Good position in Amboise for visiting.

There was no milk in our room to make a cup of tea. None available at reception when we asked, so had to go out and buy some !Room a bit small, could hardly get round the bed.Shower cubicle interior scruffy, needed grout round tiles redone, silicone messy.

Location was great - right in the centre of Amboise; staff very friendly and also good communication when there was the possibility that we would not reach the hotel whilst reception was open. We all enjoyed the breakfast. Double rooms were quite small but very clean & had everything we needed. Blinds & AC ensured that we all slept well despite the warm evening.

Great location in centre of Amboise and across the road from a free parking lot. The bed was very comfortable and the air con worked perfectly.

Nothing - it was exactly as expected from a basic hotel. I would have liked some milk sachet to make tea but that’s being picky.

The position close to the Loire river was wonderful not to mention the village. As we travelled to Amboise via train it meant we were able to get around every where on foot.

The bedding. The pillowcases and duvet cover were a quilted polyester fabric. And there was no top sheet. If I were to stay here again I'd bring plain cotton pillowcases and a top sheet.

Given a room without a window and bed not made up discovered it was a staff bedroom allocated tous by mistake. Given anew room which was adequate

We did not have breakfast but the hotel was convenient for restaurants. Right in the centre of Amboise. The recommended restaurant was excellent.

The information about parking could have been better. The streets are very narrow and we were lucky to find a car park that was free overnight but quite a long way to carry our luggage.

We enjoyed the breakfast, the room, beds were comfortable, good location.

Location near the promenade and near pedestrian streets and restaurants.

Very old and needs renovations. No elevator! And very narrow hallways. No service if you need a clean towel everything is kept at their sister hotel down the street.Breakfast adequate, no hot items.Parking ( for a charge) is at a lot 3 blocks away so lugging even carry on over the uneven sidewalks was difficult.

room clerk tried his best to accommodate, but if room is not up to standard, not too much he can do,

forgot clean towels, left dirty towels in room, didn't clean toliet, a/c doesn't work unless you like to use it as a heater in winter.On every trip there is always a room that stands out as the worse.

Location. NO Long stay parking at hotel but free parlking 10 minutes walk away. Gets busy so thknk ahead to leave the car. Amboiseis worth a visjt with 3 places to visit. Castle, Clos Luce and Gaillard. Good for exploring all the best of Loire chateax..

Sliding batbroom door didnt cover the space so no privacy. On main road so noisy but location is very central. The restarant was good the first night but very slow service on a subsequent visit. We left affer main course, we would have ordered wine and cheese. Steaks good but my fish was not. Breakfast ok but uninspired.

The room was a nice size with a nice big desk. The river was next store and there was pretty view from room #9 which was the room I rented. The breakfast was really tasty and sweet. The train is close by the hotel.

Booked for two nights. Told when we got there that the hotel was closing the next day and we would have to relocate. We duly did this but our room wasn’t ready as promised. Wanted us to leave our bags in an unlocked, unstaffed room.bed was really uncomfortable. Breakfast very poor. Internet poor.Staff we’re friendly but young and inexperienced.

No lift / No refrigerator / No drinking fountain in the floor

Fairly easy to find. Restricted street parking, but they have a parking area a short walk away, which costs 10 euros a night.

Breakfast was nice and we were glad of air conditioning. The room was a good size.

Traffic outside was noisy - not much the hotel could do about that.

very quirky rooms and facilities, with a pretty courtyard to sit and eat and drink. great restaurant.
