- It was difficult to bring baggages/luggages up the 2nd floor especially that our accommodation was in the old stables. But luckily we found the staff who could help

Superb

We had a nice stay! The staff was nice and really helpful. The room was very beautiful and comfortable. A big plus is that the hotel has an elevator, which made getting to our room much easier. We also loved the bathroom products—they were really good and smelled great!
the gravel path from the parking to the entrance makes rolling suitcase a bit difficult.
Character warm welcoming , dog friendly and parking
Beautiful rooms and building. Welcoming reception despite very late arrival.
Breakfast staff unfriendly and abrupt.
Fantastic dog friendly hotel set in lovely grounds with a perfect location to explore Amboise. We had an annex room with our door opening out onto the garden. The room had everything we needed including a spacious bathroom. The staff were very friendly too.
Breakfast price was expensive, there was not enough milk/powdered milk in the room with the tea/coffee making facilities. There was only enough milk for 1 drink each on the day of our arrival.
Lovely hotel with a very kind and helpful staff (arranged taxis for us before we arrived and when leaving, scrambled to get a mobile phone we'd left behind to us at the train station before our train left).
This hotel is an amazing stay if you wish to enjoy the perks of Amboise and beauty of the Loire Valley without living the city. It's central location make it an amazing stay for anyone going to the city without a car. The staff is super gentle and the breakfast was amazing!
Where to start? Far from the sleek, sanitised hotels of today, this hotel pays tribute to the history and culture of its region. However this in no way implied any divergence from a hotel's priorities...hospitality, polite/helpful/friendly staff, first class accommodation and superb cuisine. This hotel had it all, it oozed class, comfort and a central location to explore this beautiful town. I cannot praise it highly enough and visitors to the area should book a room while they can. An absolute gem that we will return to.
I cannot think of anything that could have been better.
Room, Breakfast, Dinner and Staff (The guy at reception, sorry I don't remember his name) He's very helpful

The location and property/grounds were spectacular! The room was beautiful, if uncomfortable.
The room (#1) was very small, facing a loud road, and above the onsite restaurant. It was terribly hot even though we turned the heat off completely. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable with a large divet.
Close to the centre
Felt we couldn't just sit anywhere in the hotel fir early evening drinks by the fire.
Really super receptionist on arrival. They did upgrade us, as we wanted a room with a shower. It was on the second floor. (No lift) As the suite was in the eaves of the building it was a challenge with beams on one side to get into bed. The shower was good with hot water quick to arrive . Great staff in the dining room too . Car park - tucked away though an arch - for larger cars a tight fit ! Charging for cars if needed
The room was a bit tight around the bed, with the sloping ceiling. The dinner , we really thought that there should be more choice. We both struggled to find anything we really wanted to eat .The menu really wasn’t for us . Although of course thats subjective
The hotel location, in the centre of Amboise, was very convenient and the free parking at the hotel was very useful, particularly as we were able to leave our car in the car park during the morning of our departure which allowed us to visit the chateaux in the town. The staff were all, without exception, very pleasant and most helpful. The room was comfortable and the hotel lounges with open fires and board games were a very welcoming and cosy ambience. The food in the restaurant (evening dinner) was exceptional and the restaurant service was excellent.
The access to the hotel is quite narrow and requires a little care on entry and exit. The "Comfort Room' we were allocated while comfortable, was a little cramped and felt cluttered for the room size.It was difficult to find a place to use the tea and coffee making facility conveniently as the kettle flex was too short to reach the electric sockets !However, these are minor negative features. While we ate in the restaurant for dinner we didn't feel we needed a large breakfast at €20 each so used the convenient local patisserie in the town for coffee and pastries.
The exceptional detail to service. We had problems with our flight and didn’t arrive till 1130pm. Our luggage was carried to our room and a charcuterie board was rustled up for us. Breakfast was beautiful and dinner superb. The room was very sweet and had everything we needed. Lots of lovely areas to sit.
That we couldn’t stay longer.
Loved the locationVery nice restaurant althiugh we didn t eat there
Our room although spacious was over the kitchen. Noise until 12:30 amNo elevators had to carry heavy luggages in staircaseTowels are very old
Lovely, charming hotel in beautiful old mansion. The restaurant is excellent- and the garden is wonderful if you are lucky with the weather. We had a wonderful stay here- highly recommend it!
