Bed ok location 2 miles from town

Could not set ac had to use Window to cool off shower closer only goes half way . No way to keep water in much . Why does the rest of the world use a shower glass that only covers half the shower . No elevator at all four 3 or 4 floors.

I was made welcome on my arrival despite it being much earlier than I had predicted and this continued for most of my stay. The restaurant's menu offered a wider range of food than the last Ibis hotel I stayed in and I was happy to rely on it for the three nights I stayed there and the breakfast was a typical eat what you want buffet.While there was nothing wrong with my room, the bar/lounge area provided a comfortable alternative. More generally, the hotel was easy to find being just off what appears to be Amboise's ring road and had plenty of parking. At the same time, it was close enough to the town centre and its tourist attractions that one could walk.

For most of my stay, the hotel provided everything I expected. However, there was a sting in the tail as they charged me for my breakfasts when I checked out, despite the booking confirmation making it clear that breakfast was included. After an argument, they did give me a refund but the experience left a nasty taste in my mouth.

The room was on ground floor as requested. The breakfast was very good and the ease of finding it was good

The room had a smell of mustiness and the carpet was laid on uneven concrete

Nice calm modern hotel, very basic but extremely clean and well located if you want to visit all the surrounding chateaux without the hassle of the Amboise city road work. Beds are comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is very good and a plus with a large selection of everything. You can even have eggs and bacon.

No cups or glasses. Very basic. Seclusion from town in industrial area.

The hotel is on a main road but there was no noise. There is plenty of parking. It was well positioned for driving to supermarkets, the city centre and visiting chateaux. Our room was small but had everything we needed, including a good bathroom. Television was better than a lot of others, including English language programs. English was spoken at the reception.

Overpriced.

Location and staff - breakfast was also good.

We had a dirty room as the bed had a severe issue with bed-bugs and my wife was bitten in several places with one bad one creating a scar on her cheek/chin!

Carpet in bedroom was filthy, bedrooms stank due to aircon, bedroom extremely cramped

The staff were lovely, really kind. There was also a large garden that we could use to walk the dog that was really good to have. Like all ibis’ - very clean and quiet location.

The room was very small for a family of 3 and air conditioning was not great

Easy to find - nice team, facilities.

No lift - which would be an issue if you have heavy bags and are not on the ground floor. Location is an out of town so a drive to reach Amboise centre. However that's all clear on the website.

Dinner wasn’t good

The location is near the hypermarket and petrol station and on the outskirts of Amboise. The room was quiet.

There was no water or TV controller in the room. The two rooms given were not the rooms ordered on Bookings.com. The price charged was, in one case, higher than agreed when a smaller room was supplied. Staff gave invalid reasons why the rooms were unavailable. The dinner was largely inedible, and the breakfast was minimal as proper cooked food was not on offer.

Very poor ability to escape building if fire....major doors shut during night to all floors with no notice on how to open.In morning One poor receptionist was only staff available to cover reception and breakfast hall...so hot drinks and juices unavailable as machines empty and faulty, food running out at about 8.30am.Dinner in evening very poor quality despite usual cost.No management or trained staff available to receive comment

Parking was easy, reception staff attentive, hotel was clean and tidy

The shower went cold for some reason the water heater had been turned off. Easiest to have a car for traveling locally.

Choice was good but there was an issue with the coffee machine

Not a lot but a lift to the top floor would be welcomed.

Great location, very nice, clean and comfortable little studio and good info from the host. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Friendly welcome at reception with speedy check in. Lovely clean room with comfy bed. Easy access into Amboise centre.

This is an Ibis. Small, serviceable with good staff. It is a very easy base to go Chateau visiting, easy to drive to no worries about parking,it’s on the outskirts of town. If you want a clean bed, and good staff it’s great.

The restaurant was closed unexpectedly on Saturday night and then it closes on Sunday. When the chef was there the quali Of the limited menu was good.

Only the location

Checked in and receptionist didn’t have a word of English , this is definitely not good. There were so many things wrong that we didn’t have a hope of fixing the problems. This is a hotel chain where anybody greeting guests should have some knowledge of English. Given room 108 smelled of damp it was on grd floor, asked to change and couldn’t explain why but given another room think was 114 equally as bad but stayed in it as there wasn’t another option as I need a grd floor room and cannot climb stairs and there was no lift. Receptionist said it was the carpet that was smelling. Stayed for 2 nights, unfortunately paid upfront so had to stay and it was late evening. Hairdryer very poor, handle got too hot and I couldn’t use it without holding it with a towel. My hair is not long so it should have dried my hair without getting this hot. Bathroom skirtings were dirty and needed cleaning. Found two beetles in the bathroom so they must have come from the bedroom, presumably the carpet as it was not clean.
