Novotel Amboise

Great hotel. Really nice pool overlooking the grounds and mini golf. Breakfast was ample. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was very confortable. The rooms were clean and light. The breakfast was very good. À good choice and replacement products continuously. The staff are friendly and it is in a very peaceful and beautiful location

I was disappointed with the restaurant. The first night it was excellent. Food very good and staff very helpful (with my 89 year old mum). Unfortunately the following two nights the food was not as good quality (apéritif went from home made cheese biscuits to peanuts to nothing) the food was cold the second night and needed to be taken back and the worst was that a group came in and my mum and I got requested to sit out by the entrance/bar/kitchen for the last two nights. Unfortunately my mum can’t do the stairs very well so the table at the ground level was the only place we could go. To be honest the group could have eaten where we were put and would have been amongst themselves and we would have benefitted from the atmosphère of the restaurant. Such a shame

Wonderful setting overlooking Amboise.Great pool and with lots of other activities for kids

The clean modern feel of the hotel, the swimming pool, the free parking, the activities for families including mini golf, tennis court, pool table and the close proximity to Amboise town centre

The room for a family of 4 was a bit cramped and the restaurant was pricey.

We loved the pool and the mini golf. Great activities for the kids in between all the castle’s sightseeing

The hotel was lovely good parking and clean. Nice terrace and good breakfast and restaurant was nice.

The pool was freezing but clean. The bar staff were never there and we always had to wait ages for food, the reception staff were lovely. The hotel is a long walk from town.

There weren't sufficient electrical outlets in the room. That's very surprising for a modern hotel. Also, they only provided paper cups for the room. A toothbrush won't stand up in a paper cup. The halls leading to the rooms at the far end are very long.

Dinner was surprisingly good, with friendly, prompt service. Novotel is a very family friendly firm, and children were nicely welcomed. Mini golf, basketball, and tennis, plus a pool, kept the kids busy. Good air conditioning, but also windows that open. Accessible showers.

The pool was warm . The staff were very polite. The bread and croissants tasted good.

There was broken glass on a tray near our door when we arrived, and some little bits on the corridor carpet. We asked for it to be cleared up and it was not cleared until the next day after we had asked twice more. The air con had very little effect in our bedroom or the dining room. The pool did not open until 9am, too late for a pre breakfast swim. The shower screen leaked. This did not seem a 4 star hotel and was poor value for money.

It is very green, the staff is very polite, the rooms are clean and large enough. We had a great time and will definitely come again and recommend it to everyone.

Nothing but just one comment: electric vehicle charging point is valid for certain brands only, it can be placed for other brands as well.

The food was too hot. The AC made too much noise, I had to stop it.

Great location with view over the town towards the town. Staff were excellent, fast checking in and very helpful, friendly and polite. Great parking right outside the hotel. Comfortable room and hotel. Would have stayed longer if we could.

Nothing very much, although it could use a little updating in the rooms to modernise if anything? Also proper tea cups would be nicer than paper cups?
