Hotel Albert Elisabeth Gare SNCF

The Hotel Albert Elisabeth is in a great location and easy to find. The price is good and while it’s a basic hotel it is both secure and friendly. They accommodate pets.

The room was very hot and aircon was quite noisy. The breakfast is tasty but basic. The streets and area near the station don’t feel so safe.

We had to catch a very early train the following day so we chose this hotel due to its proximity to the train station (5min walk).

Upon entering the room, it smelled like it wasn’t aired properly. Nothing to hold onto when getting out of the shower bath tub. Anti-slip mat and floor mat were not provided. There was no hand towel either. No kettle to boil water to make tea. Bed was just a double for 2 adults - so quite a tight-ish fit.

Good hotel but unfortunately the area feels unsafe with loads of single guys hanging around the streets. Felt very uncomfortable Africans asking for money and spare cigarettes.

I’ve stayed here several times. It’s a very basic hotel, but serves me well as a one-night staging post. It’s close to the station, with easy access into the town.Facilities are basic, but adequate. Breakfast is OK, and there is a small outdoor eating area which is pleasantly surprising.Any shortcomings are made up for by the staff who are particularly pleasant and helpful.

I had taken two rooms. One of them had an AC unit which steadfastly refused to provide any heat. This was awkward for a friend who had got caught in a rainstorm and needed to warm up.

Not a nice neighborhood, the room was very small, with old carpets and curtains that looked quite dirty, the bathroom in urgent need of an update or at least the piping needs unblocking, the parking is difficult to access, breakfast was also underwhelming

Accommodation was in a walking distance from the train station. Beds were really comfortable. Staff was nice. Good value for money. Great for a one night stay.

I would suggest having two seatings in a double room. The area around the hotel is not very welcoming, by which I mean the people who hang around there, but as I mentioned, it's a good place for a one night stay.

We got lost in the dark .

This hotel, although not luxurious, is clearly run well and with attention for detail. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom clean and in good order, the breakfast is in French style but there's enough to fill you. Airconditioning with a controller that's easy to understand and works. Nearly-24h reception (the only exception is for a few hours on Sunday afternoon), several launderettes nearby. All you need for one or a few nights. I was here for the second time and will book again.

No actual soap tray in the shower, but the top of the liquid soap container is flat and did the work.

EVERYTHING WAS VERY GOOD ABOUT THIS HOTEL, THE LOCATION WAS PERFECT, NOT TOO FAR FROM AIRPORT AND THE TRAIN STATION IS A SHORT WALK AWAY. IT IS CLOSE TO RESTAURANTS.PERFECT FOR BOTH MY ENTRANCE AND DEPARTURE OVERNIGHT STAYS.

THERE IS NOTHING I WOULD CHANGE,

THE LOCATION WAS PERFECT SINCE I WAS TAKING A TRAIN THE NEXT DAY, A SHORT WALK TO THE TRAIN STATION AND A 20 MINUTE TAXI RIDE FROM THE AIRPORT.ALL OF THE STAFF WERE HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY AND SPOKE ENGLISH WHICH WAS GREAT SINCE MY FRENCH IS POOR.THERE ARE RESTAURANTS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE.THIS IS MY CHOSEN PLACE TO STAY WHENEVR I FLY INTO CLERMONT FERRAND.

If you’re going to the short film festival it’s like a 25 minute walk away, since the festival is not in the city center. But if you’re going to the city center it’s only like 10 minutes, which is great

Breakfast was ok at best.Being shut on my arrival day at 3pm wasn't ideal, but I managed to call to get the access codes.

Good location to see all in Clermont-Ferrand. Near to Church square all very good restaurants!
