No aircon. Just a 4x4 room without any amenities. Old hard bed.

Air-conditioning was not working on a 35 degree day. Ventilation was only possible by opening balcony doors which posed a security issue. There were strange characters roaming about and smoking and drinking much of the night. The room had the vibe of a rough backpackers with broken lockers and a floor fan that was dirty and broken.

Lack of air conditioning, ventilation only with open doors posing a security and privacy risk. Room was rough and unloved.

The staff at the sands are amazing. Special shout out to Rhys he made travelling alone not so scary, and is just an all around great guy! The location is in a GREAT spot. The price is amazing, and the bistro and bar are great places to hang out.

The AC not working. Staying in the dorm where the window won't stay open more than a fistful, cant have the door open, bunking with 4 other people in 30 degree heat and hot humid nights was close to unbearable. I also feel for the staff who have NO control over this, they cop a lot of flack for managements choice not to fix an issue that if Im honest... probably goes against some OHS laws.

I stayed in a shared room with three bunk beds, exclusively for women, which provided an extra sense of comfort and tranquility. There is very good space to store luggage, making everything feel more organized and offering more privacy.The atmosphere is extremely quiet, with no noise or disturbances, which made my stay very pleasant. Even though it is a hostel, the bathrooms were always very clean on every day I used them.One detail that really surprised me was that the bath towel seemed to be changed daily, which is not common in hostels and made a big difference for me.Another excellent highlight is the kitchen: large, very well equipped, with a fridge, all necessary utensils, and extremely well organized — including pens and paper to label food. Unfortunately, I only discovered this complete structure on my last day, possibly due to a lack of explanation at check-in, but I thought it was wonderful.On check-out day, I went to the beach. My check-out was at 10:00 AM, but my flight was only at 10:00 PM. I was able to store my luggage, went to the beach, and informed the staff via Booking. When I returned, I asked if I could take a quick shower before heading to the airport, but this was not allowed, which I found a bit limiting. Still, I understand that these are house rules.Finally, I would like to highlight Alexa, who was simply amazing. Extremely attentive, kind, and helpful. As I don’t speak English fluently, she helped me a lot during my stay and was, without a doubt, a major highlight of my experience.I recommend this accommodation and would definitely stay here again.

It would have been nice to have access to a quick shower after check-out, especially with a late flight.

Good location, quite comfortable bed, friendly staff

A/C broken and it's mid-summer.. No bar fridge nor ceiling fan in the room either, made for a hot uncomfortable stay. One cheap pedestal fan only. Also no car parks - directed to park across the road in a gravel public carpark - it's ok but, not ideal.

Bad

We had booked, (two women)wasn't allowed to stay as only one of us (the booker) had ID. They said it was because they served alcohol, the one without ID was in her 50s, so no question about being underage. I understand that it's "policy" but we ended up sleeping rough on the beach as we had no where else to go and it was late, the positive was that we met some lovely homeless people who had nothing but was willing to share everything with us and showed us what humanity really is.

Unfortunately there was nothing to like about the accommodation.The lady that booked us in was very pleasant. Meal in the hotel was good.

Unfortunately there was nothing to like about the accommodation.The bed was so uncomfortable we could feel the springs in the bed sticking into us all night. The bathroom closes to our room had water spilling out into the corridor, which seemed it had come from someone had a shower.The Air-conditioner didn't work. The window wouldn't stay open and the fan was not adequate to keep the room cool.

4 toilets 3 showers all very clean. Kitchen clean lounge clean. Good clean
