Island Beach Resort

Low rise apartments, location was great being only a 2 min walk to the Broadbeach South tram/bus stop and Pacific Fair. Managers are great. Apartment was everything and more that we were wanting.

The location was great, we were accessible to everything. The unit was perfect for our needs.

Great location, great unit with everything you would want supplied, close to amenities. Pool and spa were amazing and well used

The location of everything was good. Access to a spa pool and swimming pool for the kids. Good facilities for a family, kitchen etc.

Wifi was a little slow at times.

Sofa beds are old and terribly uncomfortable. I didn’t have one good nights sleep for the whole week.Ground floor units are extremely unsafe. Had an intruder who opened sliding door & entered unit at 3.30am! My worst night waking up to find some man coming thru the curtains at me in the lounge. I screamed my head off and no one came to help! Police weren’t impressed with the easy access to the establishment, the inadequate locks on the screen door & patio doors and couldn’t contact anyone to find out if the intruder was a locked out guest, as he was claiming. Lynda did her best but we didn’t feel safe or comfortable for the entire stay. If we hadn’t already paid up front, we would have left and found somewhere else to stay.

Very clean, renovated, perfect location, everything you need. Close to the beach. Close to some great restaurants. Waking distance to pacific fair and the light rail.

Stairwells for getting your suitcases up and down were difficult for older people. Better to book ground level if you know.

The location is perfect. Short walk to the park and beach. Oasis shopping centre and Pacific Fair mall very close by. The staff were super nice and friendly. Easy parking in basement.

The property is dated and in need of a spruce up. When I arrived I was told the bed hadn't been made yet as the previous guest had broken a leg on it. That was quickly fixed by the very nice staff, however it didn't take long to notice the room was run down in general. Our unit had mouldy aircon, rusted handles on all the kitchen cupboards, paint chipped badly around the bathroom door, a bathroom door handle that kept falling off, scuffed furniture & the fridge had not been cleaned properly. Mostly superficial things that could be remedied easily enough. The lounge window is also directly across from the neighbours window, and the guy there always seemed to be standing looking in. I think blinds would be better than the curtain to retain some privacy. But the biggest concern was the cochroaches, the bathroom was infested with them. Every night they seemed to be coming out of the drains. I lost count of how many I killed.

The apartment was a good size, with everything you need for a long holiday. Washer and dryer a big bonus. Within walking distance to supermarkets, the beach, the tram and bus stop, Pacific Fair, Draculas and the casino.

An older resort so rooms a bit dated, but they keep the grounds nice.

I loved the location. It was close to everything I needed.

It was hard being a solo mum with a pram and the stairs despite them only being a few. We made it work but I would avoid stairs next time. Also some of the kitchen appliances were not clean, the toastie maker had oil and fat on it from a previous person.

Room was very smelly the drains we think.We had to put towels over the drains and keep the bathroom door closed - this helped a little - we couldn’t change rooms as booked out. The cutlery was dirty and so was the oven and microwave.Is a little dated and needs a good clean. There is no vacuum no broom to clean the floors and we stayed for a week so made it difficult.Was only two towels provided and we had to pay extra for extra towels.

The staff were lovely and the room had all modern cons. The pools looked like fun but unfortunately it rained quite a lot.

We weren’t made aware of building works next door until after we had booked.

Location is great, close to the beach, shopping centers, restaurants, and public transport.

Apartment 19. Needs a good makeover. Old furniture, the chairs for the meals table are much too low to eat comfortably, kitchen ware is very limited which makes the dishwasher useless. the double bed was 2 singles pushed together, unfortunately the mattresses were different thickness. A very bad sewerage smell from bathroom floor waist permeated the whole apartment, had to leave the windows open all the time. Balcony door and windows could not be locked and fly screens had big holes. Balcony table missing the hard top. The other apartments could be different as they are individually owned.

Had to walk up 43 stairs with all our luggageAnd for people in their 60s was not pleasant, the internet was poor, wanted to use the fan but didn't work..
